Dear You:

I wish I could be what you needed.  I truly do.  It’d make things so much simpler.  Maybe I’m just too messed up.  Maybe this is as close to the correct timing as we’re ever gonna get, and even then, it’s just not close enough.  Four years ago, you were exactly what I was looking for.  Maybe four years ago, you were exactly what I needed.  Who knows?

I loved you once.  I don’t think I do anymore.  Even with what you promised me . . . I don’t think it’s enough.  I admit, there are temptations.  Very strong temptations.  But not strong enough for me to base something like this on.
