Playing Catch-up

Okay, so I haven’t written simply because I haven’t gotten on my computer in a bit.  I’m actually writing this up on Drew’s computer at the store.  🙂  And typing on my phone is just a hassle because I get ahead of the thing typing the letters out, plus it doesn’t seperate the stuff into paragraphs and instead has it all clumped together as one and that drives me nuts.

Wow.  Talk about a run on….

Anyway.  June 26th, Drew and I found out we got approved for Longbrook apartments, and we’re moving in there September 1st, after we save up some money.  I’m excited, honestly.  I can’t wait.  And I’ll go more in depth with this when I can, but there’s been a subtle change between us between last night and this morning.  It’s a good change, I assure you of that.  It’s definitely a good one.

I mean, heck, last time he went to Zapp Comics, this place over near the store in Marlboro, he didn’t even tell me about it until I found the Superman action figure he’d bought there.  Today, when we were sitting, him in the office, me just outside it, he says to me, "Oh, I admit, I bought something at Zapp’s."  I asked what he got, and he says a Superman action figure that I guess is bigger than the normal action figure size.  You know, like a twelve or eighteen inch one instead of six or eight inch.

It’s like I told him a few months ago, I don’t care if he indulges his comic-nerdy-side and buys stuff like that for himself, just as long as A) bills are taken care of first, and B) he doesn’t mind my indulgence in buying books and whatnot after I take care of bills.  Cuz God knows I’m not gonna stop my DVD and book indulgences, so how can I rightfully expect him to stop buying action figures and things that make him happy?  I’m not gonna do that to him.

Oh, and ridiculously little thing that made me insanely happy today: he surprised me with Wendy’s when he came to the store today, and I always get my root beer with no ice.  He remembered that.  I don’t know why that masde me so ridiculously happy, because it is just a little thing, but it did.

Its the little things that mean the most sometimes. Like today…I came home from my parents and Matt had placed a little puppy beanie baby on my laptop. He left a note stating that it was for me to take care of until we could afford our own house and get a puppy of our own. It was a little gesture, but so sweet. Where are Longbrook apartments located???
