::Beams:: Wow . . .

Oh, my God . . .

I have no idea what else to say.  Sunday, Drew and I worked together, and it was pretty much like nothing was up between us, except for a few discreet comments we slid into conversation when we were making pizzas together on the makeline.  And I figured that night, after closing, I’d be able to talk to him more personally.  Cuz, if nothing else, I did wanna find out if I hadn’t said anything to Ed where he teased me so much I had to admit what I was thinking to Drew, would Drew have ever said anything to me?  (And I can’t remember what Drew’s answer to that was, but oh well.)

So, after closing, the other guy went home and Drew and I stayed outside talking for about an hour, sometimes randomly leaning on one another and such.    Then, we hugged goodbye, and of course, I texted him "G’night," and all.  And today, Monday, I’d asked if he would come with me and my parents to check out a new car I’m gonna get.  (Whole other story, I’ll get to that soon.)  In any case, he said yeah, he would, and I asked if he wanted to meet up around four and we could go hang out at Union Beach or something.

So today, I’m going semi-nuts cleaning up my room, vaccuuming, putting things in the washer and dryer, and all that.  And I’d wanted to take a shower, but didn’t have the chance, because just as I finished up things with my room, the chime on my phone goes off with a text.  It was Drew, and he was outside.

I went out to meet him, and we talked outside my house for a bit, when I happened to mention the Spy House, which is this old house in New Jersey that’s supposed to be one of the most haunted places in the U.S.  He’d never heard of it.  Once I heard that, I started towards his SUV, saying we had to go there, he had to see this place.  I described it to him as I lead him on the directions of how to get there, told him that while a family lives there now, it used to be a museum people could take tours in.

We were there for a while, just talking, or watching the waves, or spotting horseshoe crabs and such.  Then we went to Union Beach.  He parked at the playground and we walked up to the little pier, and part way there, just before we walked past this place called Jakeabob’s Bay, he took ahold of my hand!  And held it till we got to the end of the pier, where I climbed over the rail and got onto the rocks, then pulled out my cell to text Lexi and tell her he’d taken my hand.

Drew and I left Union Beach just before six to pick up my mom and go to the car place where I’d found — get this — a Volkswagen Beetle!!!!!!!!!  It’s dark blue, and it’s absolutely awesome!  I love it, I absolutely, positively LOVE it.  So, we get my mom and go to the car place and finagle (sp?) the car stuff, and then went to pick up Lexi and go to Pathmark where we got nacho stuff (and where I got hugged by Drew several times!!!!) and went home so I could make dinner.  I made the nachos, we served ourselves, and then went and watched an episode of Dick Van Dyke, (100 Terrible Hours,) then Who’s Minding the Mint?, then another two Dick Van Dyke shows (Ghost of A. Chanz and the Joe Coogan one.)  Then it was about ten after one, so Drew and I drove Lexi home, he dropped me off back at my house, I went in really quick and gave him a journal I’d picked up for him today, and we stood in the driveway, our arms around each other for a long while.  Then . . . .

He kissed me!!!!!!!!  He actually KISSED ME!!!!!!!

Okay, I’m still spazzing about that, but I have to get sleep, because I can’t keep my eyes open anymore.  But I honestly don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since Saturday night.

Being me, I have to ask, did you bring a ghost hunting kit to the Spy House with you? When so ever I get the chance to visit, that’s number two on my list of places I want to go with you and Zeb.
