Beatles Video Answers

If you wanna try this yourself, go back an entry and watch the video before reading on.

Now, for the answers.

I love how you see the pics of them as kids at first.

Strawberry Fields. (Duh.)

The road and everything is supposed to be Penny Lane, accented by the fact that there’s a nurse, selling poppies from a tray.

There’s the cake with "Birthday" written on it.

And the door that George walks into has "Dr. Robert" written next to it.

Then, the accident scene obviously represents Day In The Life, "…he blew his mind out in a car/he didn’t notice that the lights had changed…" as well as there being a reference to I am the Walrus with the "pretty little policemen in a row."

And, I don’t know why, but I can’t help thinking that lighthouse you see just before the kite, (Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, btw,) appears.

Then there’s the sunflowers, "…cellophane flowers of yellow and green…" from Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

And the kids with the pig masks represent George’s song Piggies on the White Album.

Then through the window, there’s a Paperback Writer.

And of course, the Blue Meanie from Yellow Submarine, the movie.

Then another reference to Lucy, what with the newspaper taxi, and the girl getting into it is from She’s Leaving Home, and I think the waltz John and Yoko are doing is supposed to represent Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?

And the group of people in front of and around the elephant is for Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill. And others in the room as the camera pans are people from the Sgt. Pepper cover.  (You can even see the cut out of Stu Sutcliffe against the wall.)

Then there’s the gravestone of Eleanor Rigby and Martha, My Dear, the dog who runs by. (Yes, that song was about Paul’s dog, not a girl.)

Oh, and Father McKenzie walking away from the grave.

Then, Fool on the Hill, (actual footage from Magical Mystery Tour,) She’s Leaving Home again, and the Long and Winding Road.

And of course, it pseudo-ends with the camera on a nice shot of Abbey Road, complete with the LMW 281F car, which was part of the whole "Paul is dead" theory.

Then it shows, among other images, a clip from Hard Day’s Night.

I love the Beatles, love them, love them. I’m sure Lennon was a jerk though, despite the brilliance.
