Thinking About Arrogance Within My “God Crusade”
One point in particular. Fallen Cloud pointed out to me, though I’m not sure if this was his intention, or even what he intended to shed light on, that if it’s arrogant for me to say that people who say "No, God definitely doesn’t exist," are being arogant, doesn’t it stand to reason that people who say "Yes, there definitely is a God," are being arrogant as well?
I thought on that and yes, at face value, it would seem that the second group is being just as arrogant as the first. And perhaps, phrased the way it is, that’s true. But while I still hold to my stance that no one can prove God doesn’t exist and therefore no one can truly say He definitely doesn’t exist, that’s not necessarily true for believers. True, believers can’t prove to someone else that God exists beyond a shadow of a doubt; however, people do have religious experiences and those experiences are very true for them. Those experiences have proven to them that God exists, even if other people are saying "Okay, you’re crazy." So perhaps it can be called arrogant for them to say "Yes, God definitely does exist," but it’s definitely not arrogant for them to say, "Yes, God definitely exists for me."
The main reason I said it was arrogant for an atheist to assert that God definitely doesn’t exist is because atheist’s thought trains run on logic, science, solid facts, and such. Religion isn’t about solid facts. Religion is about faith. And moreover, even atheists will admit that there are things science cannot explain. They may feel it’s a matter of can’t explain yet, but it’s still a matter of cannot explain. Therefore, since science can’t explain everything, and it does seem like atheists have their basis in scientific fact and logic, it is arrogant for them to assert the claim, "No, there definitely isn’t a God."
I’m still not seein it as arrogance..it’s their beliefs and experiences..besides, that only covers scientific atheists..what about those who just don’t believe?

I think atheists believe that the Christian God Doesn’t exist due to the evidence provided. To say that no Superior beings exist is like penguins being smart enough to build a rocket ships. Science explains 99.9% of everything we know as humans, but that .1% is what keep us in the dark. I believe it’s the question “Why are we here?” Science doesn’t know the answer to that question.

Stephen Hawking one of the smartest people alive says the chance humans were created without any superior being is like putting a pocket watch in a vaccum for a million years and it coming out perfectly working!
