The Notes Survey, Taken From A Random Diary

The noting survey:

How many notes do you tend to get per entry? It varies, but usually at least one or two. I guess lately around four, average.
Does it matter to you how many notes you get? Why/why not? Not really, though I wish I’d get more notes from the people I know outside the online world.
What do you think affects the number of notes you get? Controversial issues. Religion, politics, abortion, premarital sex, etc. Write about one of those and you’ll have people jumping down your throat, cheering for what you’ve said, or (and this is rare) maturely disagreeing with you and explaining their views on why.
Have you tried to do something in order to get more/fewer notes? What did you do? Other than noting random people whose entry interested me, nothing.
Do you follow any rules about writing/responding to notes (such as responding to every note, writing in a certain way, etc)? What are they? Writing — I always try to say something. I hate leaving a blank note. Responding — nothing specific comes to mind.
Do you expect your noters to follow any rules? What are they? Don’t be a spineless coward who leaves anonymous notes, and if you’re going to attack my position or thoughts on a subject, have reasons, be mature, and if you can’t respect my right to write what I want on my little space on the internet, then please, let the door kick your ass on the way out.
Are there any kind of notes you do not/would not like to receive? What are they? Notes from cowards who create fake diaries to purposely insult me and then call me whatever because I’m calling them for being a coward and not revealing themselves.
Have you ever received a "hate note"? How did it make you feel? How did you react? It pissed me off because the person was a spineless bitch who decided it was better to insult/laugh at me anonymously than come clean with her identity. Then she had the gall to pretend she didn’t know what I was talking about when she tried to pull the same thing again later on.
Have you ever received an unsigned note? How did it make you feel? How did you react? I think I’ve given plenty of info on this one. I got unsigned notes from that cowardly bitch, but then I turned my diary to signed notes only. I’ve kept it that way ever since. I’m not about to bank on the honesty of people. They wanna insult me, they have to leave a name for me to trail back to.
Have you ever received a blank note? How do you feel about those? I’ve gotten them. Honestly, I hate blank notes. Yeah, it’s nice to know the person’s reading, but there’s no thought to blank notes. It’s like they just decided "Hey, I read it, but I don’t wanna type anything, so I’ll just hit the button." Now, there are exceptions. Especially sad or heartwrenching entries, yeah, a person doesn’t know what to say, sometimes the best thing is to say nothing. There are definitely exceptions. But I still don’t like them.
Do you have a disclaimer (or any sort of written set of rules/requests) on your diary about leaving notes? What’s the story behind that? I don’t have any written disclaimers, but I suppose if I was going to write one, I’d say, "You wanna leave a note for me? Please do. I welcome notes. But if it’s a spineless, cowardly one that attacks me or my thoughts/position just for the sake of attacking me, save it. I don’t need the negativity and if you insist on leaving a note like that for me, you seriously need to get a life. Open-mindedness is more than welcome, as are opposing views, when given in a mature, reasoned way.

LOL… SOOOO just kidding about that blank note I just left 😀 I hate blank notes too… its like wtf? you have enough time to read my life… but not enough time to type something… I mean great.. you read it… now either leave… or note.. dont just leave your name!! LOL Who is this cowardly bitch your talking about? What happened?? Ok.. you get letters x,y AND z.. TEN EACH!!

LOL That space allowance worked out good this time… no mid-sentence inturruptions… Sorry I haven’t been writing as much … my sister got here last night!! 🙂 WOO WOO 😀 Ok.. I am going to quit talking now.. and give you your letter it is……… p 😀
