Entry 838 – Backlog And Recent Events
Let’s see . . . I know I said I’d write about Easter. It was fun. Rob came over and had dinner with us, Grandma tripped over the cat’s food bowl and me and Darnell (my cousin,) were laughing hysterically at it and she was trying to hold back laughter, too, then me, Rob and Darnell went over to Rob’s and the three of us plus Jonathan, and this other really weird kid were playing basketball for awhile outside his house. Darnell actually got Rob down at one point. He’d grabbed Rob from behind and pulled him backwards, bringing him to the ground. What I didn’t know until I looked later, though, was that Rob had gotten his elbow scraped up because of it. So, he was pretty pissed at Darnell and when we started playing tag-dodge ball, Rob was gunning for Darnell and wanted to knock his head off.
Lol, I actually thanked Darnell for getting Rob that angry, cuz that was the first time I’d ever really seen Rob not holding back. You know, completely letting go of his inhibitions.
After we went in, I took care of Rob’s elbow (he’d pretty much ignored it outside,) then we got drinks and played vdeo games for awhile, and Rob got stuff to bring cuz he agreed to sleep over that night. So I dropped Darnell off and me and Rob came back to the house and got stuff to eat. Yay for leftovers!
Mother’s Day was nice, too. What was it, May 14th? Yeah, I think that’s right. I was still feeling out of sorts concerning everything with Mike, but I was able to put it aside for a good deal of the evening. When I met Rob for his break, he said that I was invited to come and have dinner with his family and stay over there for awhile. I’d drawn up a card for his mom anyway, so I figured staying over a little while wouldn’t hurt. When I picked him up, I hadn’t really felt like staying, but I figured why not? maybe it’d help my mood.
She liked the card and the little candle I’d gotten her with her name on it. Later, Jonathan, of course, wanted to go out and play basketball. Or no, maybe we were talking about knock-downs. I don’t know. Anyway, it took some convincing and some non-letting-up on my part, but we convinced Ron to come out and play. Lol. It was a massacre. He and I are no match for his brother. Oh, well.
When we went in, we ate, (I swear, I love the stuff his mom cooks,) and I suggested Encore. Lol, after having fun glittering Rob’s hand. I saw this glitter glue and Jonathan got it, then passed it to me under the table and I was trying while it was behind my back, to get some out on my finger to smear it on Rob’s arm. I couldn’t get the damned stuff to come out, though! I finally did get some on my index finger, and I smushed it on his arm. He was annoyed for awhile, but he got over it. Then we started playing Encore. Me and Rob versus his mom, both his sisters, and his brother. Lol, it was great. Jonathan and Stepanie were getting the most into it, I think, insisting they were gonna disembowel the other if they got a one on the next roll and stuff like that. It was great. Anyway, luck of the roll or whatever, they won one game and we won the other. So at some point, we have to have a third game and settle the score.
Hmm . . . What else has happened? Rob ended up sleeping over that night, so that was nice. Oh, it was funny, I ended up changing into a different outfit before we started playing basketball and when we came back in, Rob’s mom looked at me and said, "Okay, you were in a completely different outfit before . . ."
Let’s see . . . On Saturday, Rob and I went to Blcokbuster to see if we could find the Pound Puppy movie. (My readers, TELL ME YOU’VE SEEN THAT MOVIE!!!!! Pound Puppies: the Legend of Big Paw.) Anyway, we were looking in the kids section when all of a sudden, I hear this voice saying, "Robert Smith! I thought that was you!" He turned to see who it was and I saw out of the corner of my eye that it was this girl with glasses and blondish hair. I just kept looking at the movies, figuring Rob’d introduce me when he wanted to. But then I hear him saying that he’s there, "renting his girlfriend." I turned to him and I was like, "Wait, what’d you say?" And we all started laughing, but Rob looked so embarrassed. I’m not letting him live that one down for a loooooooooong time!
We didn’t find the Pound Puppy movie, but did end up renting Dreamer, that one with Dakota Fanning about the racehorse. It was pretty good.
Anyway, so yeah, that’s my update. Note me, peoples!
