Ice Rink Risk

Caroling, Caroling

Caroling, caroling, now we go
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling thru the snow
Christmas bells are ringing

Joyous voices sweet and clear
Sing the sad of heart to cheer
Ding dong, ding dong
Christmas bells are ringing

Caroling, caroling thru the town
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling up and down
Christmas bells are ringing
Mark ye well the song we sing
Gladsome tidings now we bring
Ding dong, ding dong
Christmas bells are ringing!

Caroling, caroling, near and far
Christmas bells are ringing
Following, following yonder star
Christmas bells are ringing
Sing we all this happy morn
"Lo, the King of heav’n is born!"
Ding dong, ding dong
Christmas bells are ringing

^^^  That’s the name of a mini-game in Mario Party 3.  ^^^

Well, once again, it’s December.  I haven’t decorated my diary all Christmas-y yet, but I’ve got the songs started.  I’m gonna write one entry for each day of December, and put a Christmas song with each entry.  Assuming no tragedy strikes this year, I think I’ll be able to get through the entire month.

Yesterday, Rob called just as I was getting out of the shower to confirm plans for the ice rink.  I’d figured I could pick him up anyway, since he doesn’t live far from the rink, so I asked him if he wanted me to pick him up at one.  So, we agreed on that, I got dressed and all, went to the bank to get money, then finally dropped off a couple things including the house key to Mike at Staples.

I picked up Rob, (lucky person that he is, he lives within spitting distance of FunTime America,) and we were on our way to the rink for the afternoon public session.  I was expecting there to be a crowd waiting outside, so I figured getting there nice and early was a good thing.

We get there, there’s no crowd.  There was like, NOBODY there for the first hour or so.  But I actually liked that.  I was able to go backwards and all that great stuff.  Honestly, except for the fact that there’s this red welt above the ankle on my right leg thanks to the skate, it was wonderful.  I’d forgotten how much I liked ice skating.  And amazingly enough, it was nice and warm in there, compared with other times I’ve gone.

Lol, no offense to Rob, but he sucked.  I expected him to be better, cuz he told me he at least used to roller blade.  And honestly, if you can do one, you can do the other.  We also played air hockey.  I won.  Seven to two.

When we left the rink, I took him by that house on Richard Way that has the insanely large Christmas display outside it.  We saw it, but it wasn’t lit up.  Oh, well.  Maybe next time.  After that, we went to Pathmark, got nacho stuff, and came home to find Mike asleep on the couch.

After I made and we had nachos, we were playing Mario Party and when we were done with that, I dropped Rob off and took a walk down to Sycamore to just sit and think for awhile.  I had a full head, that’s for sure.  I still do, but the subject matter has shifted slightly . . .

The fact remains, as I so often said in high school, "I don’t know what to do."

Yeah, I’m aware I’m basically just giving facts of the events of the day.  I don’t want to write about my thoughts just yet.  Not until I know more.  Not until more has been done.

::Smirks::  Not a very cheerful first day of December entry, is it?  ::Sighs::  I wish my best friends didn’t live over a thousand miles away . . .

I think I’m actually tired.  I might go to sleep now, considering it’s almost two am.

Oh! Oh! I LOVE Mario Party! I saw the title and thought “Hey…. that’s a minigame!” and then you had it in your sentence!” Now I want to play it lol. I’ll do that ‘fake memory’ thing now, relating to what I just said, simply because I can… ~Remember that time when we played all of the Mario Party Games at my house?~ Hehe, okay, so that was a bit pathetic. But I tried!
