Man, This Cold Knocked Me Out . . .

I hate being sick . . .   I still don’t feel back to normal.  I had to call out of work for three days!  I hate this.  And I’m supposed to work tomorrow, don’t know what time, and I’m not sure I’m gonna make it.  If my throat doesn’t clear up by tomorrow, I’m going to the doctor’s.  I don’t want to, but a cold hasn’t knocked me out like this in years!  Usually NyQuil and positive thinking take care of it in about two days.

This isn’t fair . . .  Melanie and I had made plans to hang out tonight with some other people, going to that Keansburg bar or someplace.  I know she called earlier, but I’ve been hesitant to speak all day.  I don’t know, it’s just a feeling I get of when I should talk through a sore throat and when I shouldn’t.  Today was a "shouldn’t" day, very definitely.

Ugh . . .  I hate this.  And not only do I have this cold, but I have a really painful blister on my thumb from that damned Street Figter game that Mike got recently,  On the upside, once it’s healed, I can go back to practicing with Ken.  I’ve become rather good with him, surprisingly enough.  My character of choice in Street Fighter games was always Chun-Li.

I’ve also started reading Wicked again.  Man, it’s different from the books I normally read.  It’s interesting, though.  I also watched The Wizard of Oz last night, with Judy Garland?  I swear, I cannot strike an equilibrium between the two.  The musical/book of Wicked, and the movie.  It’s just so bizarre.  Seeing the movie, though, gave me some more Encore words and gave me a few ideas for my Wicked fanfic I’m in the process of writing.  I might post it on here after it’s done.

Argh.  It’s about ten thirty.  I should find out from Domino’s what I work tomorrow and tell them ‘ll let them know in the morning if I’ll make it, or if I’m doctor-office-bound.
