SUCCESS!!!!!
My Mood: — Very Happy
I got a job!!!!! Keansburg Amusement Park called me today and I’m gonna be a ride operator! (Or, as Shannon says, an "almost-carnie.") I go down there on Saturday for training and then I’ll work there during the weekends and see how things go.
Plus, for me, things are just going well financially. See, it turns out that I’m actually ahead on paying my mom for this month. I thought it would be seventy five this time, and then seventy five at the end of the month for March. Instead, it turns out that I’m ahead, and only have to give her seventy five, and I’m paid off for March. So that’s what I did. Now I can keep the rest of my money and deposit it for the credit card and car payments I need to do in the near future. Cool, huh?
Oh, also, I woke up around eleven, took a shower, and drove over to the Asbury Park Press offices where they make the paper. I went in, told them I’d seen the ad, and the guy asks if I want to fill out an application. I said yeah, he hands me one, and I filled it out in this room off to the right. When I handed it back to him, he said I’d hear something from them in a few days! So hopefully I can get hired doing something there. I mean, the only days I couldn;t work are Saturdays and Sundays, and the only other day I wouldn’t really want to work is Monday. Because if I did get that job the paper described, it’s six thirty in the morning to three in the afternoon. And I want to get a good amount of sleep before I do something like that. So Sunday wouldn;t be a good day,since I have no idea when I’d get off from the park.
I think I will tell the dollar store that I can’t work Sunday’s now, since I was able to get a second job. I suppose I’ll stay there until I know I have another job besides the one at Keansburg. But either way, I’m leaving that store soon.
The Keansburg money, though, I’m gonna sock away into my account. I’m gonna save as much as I can, aside from some money I’m gonna set aside to be able to buy manga with. I’ve become addicted to several different stories. Cheeky Angel, for one. InuYasha, of course. Case Closed is really good. And the newest one, a really sad one called Immortal Rain. I just got the fourth volume and it leaves off on one of those damned cliffhangers, where the main character, Rain, has died. ::Insert expletives here:: It’s honestly the sadest thing I’ve ever seen, though.
Oh yeah. Speaking of "…things I’ve ever seen," Shannon showed me SAW last night. Oh. My. God. That movie creeped the HELL outta me!!! It’s not so much scary as it is extraordinarily creepy and bizarre and twisted and . . . You get the idea. I mean, okay. There’s this killer. He’s never actually killed anyone, but he puts them in situations where they kill themselves unless they make it through his puzzles. One woman escaped. The killer put her in this room, tied to a chair with this metal headgear thing on. When she got herself loose from the chair, it started a timer, and if she didn’t get the headpiece off in a certain amount of time, it would act almost like a bear trap, snapping her jaw open and keeping it that way.
Well, there was another guy in the room, and it was said to her that the key to undo the headpiece was in the guy’s stomach. She goes over to him, and there’s a knife beside the guy. Just as she picks it up and is about to stab him, he opens his eyes.
But she stabs him anyway. Knowing he’s alive.
And that’s just one of the things in there that makes it so . . . ::shudders::
We had another movie day today, Shannon and I. We wanted to find the Grudge, so we went to Target. They didn’t have it, so we were gonna check out Best Buy, but went to barnes and Noble instead. I didn;t even know they had DVD’s! So, I nabbed the fourth Immortal Rain book and then met up with Shannon where the DVD’s are. She found the Grudge, but it was almost thirty and I didn;t want to spend that much. Then it occured to me, hey, why don;t I see if Young Sherlock Holmes is here? Shannon found that one and I picked it up. Then I asked the guy if Baron Munchausen could be there. He’d, (of course,) never heard of it, but the computer said one should be there. We looked, I found it, so yay! Now I have both of them! The Baron cost thirty, but it’s worth it. I mean, the chances of finding that DVD again are probably slim to nil. So I’d rather have it for thirty than chance never seeing it again.
Anyway, we came home and watched the Baron, Little Shop, and Under the Tuscan Sun. We were gonna watch Alex and Emma, but didn’t have time. Oh, well. Some other time.
And now, I need to go to sleep, since I’m writing tis at two in the morning. Technically, it’s the fifteenth, but I don’t consider it as such until I’ve woken up the next day.
G’night, all!!!
:::Happy oinking for you:::: :@)
