American Idol

Oh.  My.  God.  I think that about says it all.  I’m watching the tryouts for American Idol and just . . . wow.  These people are bad . . .  They showed that guy that “sang” Greatest Love of All from Season 2.  It turns out his brother tried out this time around.  He was *okay* until he got to about the third line.  Then, my God, he was orrible.

I still want to try out for this show.  I swear, next time there’s an audition in New York, I’m going, I’m trying out, and somehow, I’m gonna make it in fornt of Simon, Randy, and Paula.  And the first thing I’m gonna say to the three of them is, “I’d just like to say that I’m sorry for all the bad singers you’ve had to hear throughout the seasons of this show, and I hope you don’t consider me one of them.”  Then I’d tell them what I was gonna sing, and start singing.

There’s this one song from the Secret Garden soundtrack, “I Heard Someone Crying,” that I think I want to parody as I walk in the room to see the three of them.

I heard someone crying,
who, though, could it be?
Maybe it was Simon,
calling out to me
“Give me a good singer,
too many I’ve not heard.”
I heard someone calling,
calling out for me!

Lol.  I think I’m actually gonna do that.  I just have to remember this entry when I try out, go back and read it and remind myself of this parody thing.  Lol.  I’ll just slink into the room, singing this, see their reactions, give my apology, make the small talk just about every person does, and then go into whatever actual song I pick.

That’s the thing.  I have no idea what songs they allow.  I don’t know if they allow Broadway songs and that’s what I’d really love to do.  The Wizard and I, from Wicked.

Okay, anyway, this weekend, I’m taking care of my taxes, cuz hopefully tomorrow, I’m sending off the credit card and cell phone bills.  Then next week, Mike has his eye exam, and I’m gonna get glasses and/or contacts.  This is the first time I’m contemplating contacts.  Shannon, Melaie, I know you guys wear them, what are they like?  What do they feel like?  Are they easy to take care of, and to put in, etc.?  Any info you can give is appreciated.

Okay, I’m gonna go.  Woo-hoo!  Second entry in one day!  Lol.

Despite my eyes, which yeah, are still bugging me, I’m in agood mod.  My eyes look pretty normal, it’s just that they still feel dry and whatnot.  It sucks.  Oh, well.  Tomorrow, I’m working on my room.  I can get the wall unit neatened up, and then I can put the stuff from the desk on the wall unit.  That way it’s clear for Shannon, and she can get it this weekend.  🙂

I don’t know why, but I sort of want Chinese now.  ::Sighs::  Yeah, that weight loss thing has kind of hit a stagnant period.  I suppose because I’ve hit a stagnant period.  I haven’t really been playing DDR.  I should probably go and do that for a bit tomorrow.  Argh.  I will lose weight.  I will be down considerably by this summer.  I just have to keep sight on that goal.

Okay, this time I’m really going.  Bye!  🙂
