Christmas Carols, Pianos, and Vincent Price

Okay, I went up to Jason’s yesterday after work.  And these are the adventures I had while up there.  The bridge scared me half to death, because the wind was strong enough to make the car swerve.  Anyway, I made it up there in one piece, and I saw him looking out his bedroom window, waiting for me.  We waved, and he came down, signed me in, etc.  So, then, we’re in his room, and the last time I was there, he’d pulled the same kind of thing that Dan had so long ago.  Basically saying that he knew something about me that I needed to change, except wouldn’t tell me what it was.  Jason just insisted, “all in good time.  You’ll know in time.”  And he did tell me that he had no malicious intent involved.  I do believe that, I did believe that, but that didn’t change the fact that I hated the fact that the same thing was being done to me.

Well, he did tell me what it was, and I sat there for a little bit, just completely still, and he leaned forward, and was about to say something when I burst around with a “Gah!!” at him, and scared the bejeezus outta him.  He sat there shocked for a bit, finally saying, “Okay, we’re even.  We’re definitely even now.”

I agreed.  I had to admit, yes, he was right about what he said.  (He is good psychologist.  Lol.)

So, later, we’re listening to music, and I pulled out my Beauty and the Beast CD.  The music from the Broadway show.  I love that song “If I Can’t Love Her” that the Beast sings.  We listened to some of it, though, and Jason was right.  The guy who plays Belle’s father, Maurice, sounds like Vincent Price!!  It’s really scary!

Oh, and for some reason, I don’t remember why, I happened to open the drawer with all his different . . .  Wait, he’ll kill me if I type this.  Okay, moving on!!

So, last night, he decides, for some reason, that I am going to learn piano, and he is going to teach me.  I don’t know what made him decide to do this, but I think part of it was me saying in that one survey that I’d like to be able to play piano, but it’s something I can’t do.

He brought me to the music room, and we found the room with his favorite grand piano in it.  He sat at the piano bench, basically giving me a boring once over about the notes and stuff.  Even he admitted it was the boring stuff.  Then, he gets up and has me sit on the piano bench, and is saying how, maybe he never does it, but he’s going to make sure I use proper posture when playing.  So, he goes through that, and positions my fingers on the keys, and has me do a scale from middle C.

Oh, yeah, before that, I’d started drawing his portrait on his copy of Fugue in D minor by Bach.  It came out impressively well.  He’s a very good person to draw.  He doesn’t really fidget, he makes good eye contact with a person, well, with me anyway, and . . .  I don’t know.  I want to draw his portrait soon.  He’s a really good person for me to sketch.
