Jill
Well, sorry Jill, but I’m writing about you. I talked to her online today, and she jokingly dreads me writing about her, saying she doesn’t want to know the truth. YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! Lol. Anyway.
I met Jill during my senior year of high school. I ended up dating the guy she liked, who she hoped I could set her up with, but heh . . . that kinda went down the tubes.
She’s a writer, like me, but she does children’s stories, mostly. Six to ten year old ages, I guess? Though I don’t care about reading levels, or age preferences for writing, I love reading her stuff. It can give me inspiration for my own writing, and they’re good stories. I like them. I wish I could read more.
I hate to say, but from the things I’ve heard, Jill does strike me as a bit petty in the guy category. Maybe I’ve missed something in the story, because she might not have wanted to tell it, but there was this one guy. She tutors him, she gets crush on him, she wants to have a possible relationship with him, he’s too shy to call her. She decides, ‘okay, losing crush now, because I’m going off to college, and there are a lot more potential boyfriends there.’ But then, she hated the dorm, which I can understand, and decides, ‘okay, I’m gonna ask him out.’ But then, next I hear, he’s a loser who isn’t going to do anything with his life, and she hates him, practically.
I may have missed something, there may be more I don’t know about, but . . . I don’t know. It seems to me like the only reason she lost her crush on him was because, ‘hey, I’m going to college! Of course guys’ll ask me out there!’
Well, she finally does have a boyfriend. Someone I knew in high school. He’s pretty cool, and he’s actually quit smoking, as far as I can tell, for her. For that, I say good for her! She has the kind of positive influence that makes him want to be a better person for her. At least, I hope that’s it, and I hope his decision sticks.
She is a good person, and I believe she has a good head on her shoulders. At times, she seems a bit too influence-able to me, but other times, she seems completely independent, and like nothing will phase her. I like her. Even though we don’t see one another that often, we talk online, and she’s a cool person.
