SEX!!!!!

Now that I have your attention . . .

This is another thing I’ve been thinking of.  I know several people who have had premarital sex, and frankly, I think they’re idiots.  I mean, sex is supposed to be this grand entrance into marriage, the consummation into non-virginity and all that, but so many people don’t bother to consider it as such anymore.  They’re content to jump into bed with whoever they want, as many times as they want.

But then, my entry is not about people like that.  I don’t even know what to say about people like that.  No, this entry is about the people who have sex with their girlfriends/boyfriends, insisting that it’s because they "love them so much."  Because it’s an "ultimate physical expression of how much two people care about each other."  I don’t buy that and I say it’s a load of crap.  While I’m not arguing that the two people may love each other, that doesn’t mean they need to go to bed with each other.

Frankly, I believe that the people who do have sex with their boyfriend/girlfriend before marriage is scared.  A part of them, big, small, whatever, is afraid that this person they’re doing it with won’t be there in the future, so they better have sex now.  Yeah, they may love the person, but they don’t think that person’ll be there for much longer, or for as long as they hope.  Otherwise, why not wait?

One girl actually had the stupidity to say to me, "Well, I’m 18, Kate.  You think I’m gonna stay a virgin forever?"

No, I don’t think she was going to, nor that she should, if she got married.  But, what, was she going to die in three years?  No.  So, why think that 18 is this horrible old age to be a virgin?  I’m a month older than she is, and I was a virgin then, and am one now.

I don’t know.  I just don’t understand why someone would potentially throw away their future like that.  I mean, despite how people think of it now, the main reason people have sex is to reproduce.  To have babies, and become parents, and give their kids good lives.  But no.  This generation will f**k anyone who comes along, and then they act so surprised when they see the results of a pregnancy test and then go to a doctor to have it confirmed.  "Yes, miss, you appear to be pregnant."

Then you’ve got the idiot girls, crying and screaming, "How did this happen to me??"  Well, gee, you dunce, you went out and got knocked up by a guy, what do you expect?  Oh, you used protection, did you?  Well, guess what?  It don’t always work.  You had sex ed., you should have learned that.  ::Sarcasm::  Oh, wait.  You’re "unique."  It shouldn’t have happened to you. 

Okay, sorry.  I went on to all the people who would have sex with anything that moves.  Anyway, it just strikes me as disgustingly immature and stupid that people will decide to have sex before they’re married.  I mean, like anyone in high school, or just going into college is going to be financially stable enough to raise a child, if they did end up pregnant.  I don’t get why other people don’t see it as just as dumb as I do.  Why risk ruining your life to bring another life into this world that you’re not ready to handle?  Not to mention that there are just some people who just should not breed.

Okay, that’s enough on the soapbox for me for now.  I’m gonna go.

thats so awesome that you have such strong views like that.  i agree with u 100%, i dont want to have sex until i get married either, granted im only 16 but still i know that im going to wait.  i had lost a boyfriend because i wouldnt have sex with him, so im so happy i didnt because if he couldnt respect me then why stay with him?…good luck!.  note me sometime

Wow… you have good points but to lump people who have premarital sex into one catagory like that, in my opinion, is not fair. But that’s just my opinion. I don’t condone 15 year olds having sex. Never have, and never will. But if you’re an adult and can make a conscious decision about who you’re sleeping with, it’s there right. It doesn’t make them idiots, it make it free will. just my opinion..

Well..the phantom didn’t leave you any more notes because you blocked the ability for them to do so. Which I guess is good for you if you couldn’t handle what they wrote note wise..so I guess safe notes are good in that respect. But Oh well..that’s over and done with you I guess. I wish I could offer some insight to who it was..but I honestly have NO idea who wrote them.

Well..your opinion makes sense..to you. That is a good decision on your part to remain sex free…however, just because someone has sex before marriage doesn’t mean that they are an idiot. I personally don’t believe myself to be an idiot. I believe if you are an adult you should be able to make your own decisions on whether or not to engage in sexual intercourse with someone. I personally waited until I was in love with someone, and when I knew that I was ready to handle what could happen. I also state that if a person is responsible about it, there is nothing wrong with it. If the couple practices safe sex, that does not make them idiots in any way. I’m not saying that people don’t abuse sex, because they do. Many people out there have it for the wrong reasons, and don’t think about the consequences of their actions, so that makes them idiots. But the rest of us who make safe decisions and have thought about our decisions are not idiots. I am 20 years old and perfectly capable of making my own decisions about what I do and do not do with my body. But I’m not jumping on you for you opinion, I’m just stating my own on the subject. I do respect your decision not to have sex though.
