On Friday, one of my common sense-challenged students asked me, "Are Latin and Pig Latin the same language?"

There is only one appropriate answer to that question.  "Onay."

I saw King Kong today.  It was absolutely fantastic – all of the best parts of Jurassic Park, Titanic, and Indiana Jones wrapped into one.  The slow first hour is more than made up for in the final two, and unlike most movie remakes, the plot even stayed true to the original, which is a MUST SEE, if you’ve never seen it.  Although the effects seem amatuerish by today’s standards, they were groundbreaking back in 1933.

Before Kong, they showed the trailer for The Davinci Code.  This movie will make a bazillion dollars next summer, even with the aging hipster haircut that Tom Hanks is sporting in it.
