I decided to pump tonight, just to see what I got… oh man, hardly ANYTHING. I don’t quite understand WHY she nurses, there doesn’t seem to be anything THERE. I did take some Dom to see if I could bring the supply up a bit, it should help. I always end up doing that around my period… I do believe the supply tanks then. It does not help that I go 12 hours most nights without nursing. Oh well, it’s really NOT like she depends on it, if she’s nursing for the comfort of it, who am I to complain? I just thought I’d pump some and make butter out of it, lol. Seriously! But there is NO way I am going to have enough to make butter with, I only got a few drops.
I snagged a couple of tvs off Freecycle, whoo me. One is 13 inches, which will be perfect for in here, the other is 20 inches, and I’m not really certain what I will do with that one, truth be told. But I’ve been wanting a tv for in here for awhile, so I’m not going to be picky about it at all. I’m pretty excited about it actually. She’s going to put them out at 8, so I’ve got to remember they’re there, and go get them in the morning.
We picked up a new water filter for the fridge today… no excuses not to drink water now. It’s good for 400 gallons, and I asked the girls not to waste, if they get a glass of water, PLEASE drink it, and don’t dump it down the sink. Hopefully they LISTEN to this, because the water filter was 40 dollars…but it keeps me from having to 1) Remember to get cases of water and 2) Fill landfills with all the water bottles we drink as a family. I mean, I can go through 5-7 of them in a day by myself, especially if I’m exercising. Much better to use the fridge water, which is purified, and tastes great. Still, 40 dollars for the filter is a pretty hefty price to pay, and I would appreciate it if they would drink what they pour, and not waste. Water=good… Waste=bad.
I guess we can put the rest of the electric bill off to the first of next month, so that’s good. Helpful. Next month won’t be so expensive, no birthdays to worry about, though we probably have some bills to play catch up on. Still, it’ll be an easier month. The girls want to go swimming pretty badly, so I’m going to try to make that happen.
When I took the cans over to the recycle center today, I discovered that it’s NOT self-serve, AND, on the way there, my back popped open because Syd hadn’t closed it properly, spilling cans all over the road. I had to get out and pick them all up. Fun. NOT. Scared the shit out of me… I was cursing and shaking. Shabree was with me and she didn’t feel real good about it either. So I came home, we put the cans back in the garage, to be dealt with later. I really want to be able to get as much money from them as possible, so that we may use the money for swim passes next summer, so I don’t really care if the cans and bottles are in my garage a bit longer while I figure out how to get more money from them… so long as we’re not forced to move anytime soon (God forbid, I just want to stay here)
September, however, I’ve got to figure out two birthdays again. Sigh. And I’m pretty sure Syd’s probably going to want a bike, Sammi too, though Sammi’s easy, grandma’s 50 dollars can buy her bike. Syd’s probably going to want an 80 dollar bike too, because Shabree got one. Ugh. Well, at least I won’t have to buy TWO 80 dollar bikes plus a helmet, like I did this last month. And grandma will send her a 50 dollar gift card as well, and grandpa will probably send 5 dollars, which leaves my part at 25 dollars, plus tax. That’s a can-do. I’ll have to see what else I can do for her that’s fairly cheap in price. She doesn’t play with the toys much anymore, so I am not sure what else to do for her.
Oh! I almost forgot! I’ve been thinking I want lime green nail polish for my toes… one night I was talking to Jerry and looked own, and my toes were green! It was because of the light from his computer was turning them green…but I thought, I WANT green toenails! They looked SO cool. So today, we went to Rite Aid, and I had a 25 dollar gift card because Jerry transferred some prescritptions, and they’ve been running this promo giving 25 dollar gift cards for each scrip. So he’s gotten a couple of these. So I went looking for lime green nail polish, and I FOUND it… and bought it. So now my toes are green. Sammi’s toes and fingers are green, Bec’s fingers are green, Shabree’s fingers are green, Alex’s toes are green, and Syd’s fingers are green Heh! Yes, I even painted Alex’s toes. I think she likes them. Sammi… she LOVES to get her toes and fingers painted, and will no longer let us cut her nails so they’ll be long for polish. LOL, she’s SO adorable (and SUCH a girl!) The girls were complaining that the nail polish was cheap though…but I think they just needed two coats, because one coat is almost never enough to last. So all the (human) females in this family have green nail polish on at least one set of nails, lol…heh. I am loving the green nail polish… I was right, my toes look GREAT with lime green nail polish on. I don’t think I’ll do my fingers… I never paint my fingers, it weakens the nails. My toes, I don’t care if they are weakened, and I’ve been growing out the nails, so it’s nice to show them off in the summer. But I don’t like putting polish on my fingers… I’m too vain about my fingernails, and want them to stay long and strong. I know… weird. But ask me if I care. No, I don’t. I was a nail biter for 20+ years… I’m proud of my long nails, and want to keep them that way. But you never know when I’ll change my mind. Sometimes I just like to paint them anyway, consequences be damned.
I am GOING to have to wrap up and go to bed here soon if I’m going to get up early enough to go get those tvs so they don’t disappear off the porch. I can’t wait to have a tv in here…hopefully I can hook it up to the cable. Mmmm, I’ve got to figure out how to get internet for the girl’s school… ugh. Money out of our pockets, not good. Be nice to have though… still. Dang it. And the problem is, I’m not sure just how much it’s going to cost us to do this.
Guess I will post.
RYN: You’re very welcome! I’m having a lot of fun writing them! 🙂 ~Shady

Green nails, lol… that’s pretty awesome. I still have to get a helmet for the bike here, too… I can’t very well let the boys ride it without one. Hope that their heads are the same (similar) size, lol…

Ahhh I remember my long nails…then my job took them away. I used to only paint my thumb nails so they’d be sure to be gawked over, noticed. There will probably be an 80 dollar bike on free cycle…20 inch free tv?! You don’t even know what to do with it lol. At our old house Dan had a tv in the work part of the garage, even a couch. His hideaway~ Picking up cans on the freeway..woo hoo!
