Go go go
I’ve been gone nearly all day long. I’m TIRED. I left the house at 1:30, after feeding Alex (and leaving her here), and went to Target to buy light magenta ink. Now I JUST bought magenta ink the other day. I’m really wondering what my cost per picture is using the printer, and if I should buy them on Walmart.com instead and have them sent to the store. I suspect I’d save money. So after Target, I went to Walmart. I bought a BUNCH of stuff at Wal mart. Then went to Lodi, and waited for the girls at McDonald’s, for what seemed like EVER. Finally, I just rounded up Sammi and Shabree, and went to Wal mart, to return my food items and have them rung up again, because I THOUGHT I’d bought them with cash, but it turned out I was wrong, so that was a waste of time. So I went back to McDonald’s and waited again, this time not bothering with the playland, just sat in the car. They finally showed up 20 minutes or so later. Then we went to Goodwill, and I spent a bunch of money on pants for them, plus I scored a bike for Shabree for 9.50, whoohoo! Syd… I am SUCH a sucker. She wanted this Hannah Montana bead case, and it actually had the beads in it, it was 4 dollars. Well, I had 5 dollars left over, the woman behind me had given me a coupon for 5 dollars off, so I gave Syd the money to get the beads. Lucky her. Becca got 4 pairs of pants, 1 shirt, and a belt. Shabree got I think 3 pairs of pants, one pair of overalls, one pair of… hm, I forget what they were, bottoms, and a shirt. Syd got 6? pairs of pants. I guess we’re going to buy Becca a new bike for her birthday, because Jerry would rather her have a new bike. Okay. She should like that. Anyway, i spent like 50 bucks for all those clothes, so not bad. Since the neighbor just brought over a bunch of 12 mo to 3t clothes, I am set for Sammi and Alex… who has totally outgrown all her 9 month clohtes like overnight. So she’s just barely fitting in the 12 mo clothes, but that’s all right. Girl is tall. So Becca finally has some clothes, Shabree and Syd both have pants they can wear, which they were pretty short on. It worked out pretty well, though I KIND of wished I’d gotten 80 dollars out instead of 60…but I was SO appreciative to the woman who gave me the 5 dollar coupon, that was awesome. I told her that the coupon allowed me to buy the bike (and the Hannah Montana thing, but I didn’t realize that at the time) So I have a bunch of happy kids. Shabree needed a bigger bike, and is fine with something used. I’m just glad I was able to get it for so cheap. Now I can put my money towards other things for her birthday. It was REALLY hard to find Shabree ANY clothes she could wear. I guess I was lucky to find what I did. I think she probably has enough now though. She already had 2 pairs of size 7 tan pants that were Syd’s, plus a size 8 pair of capri’s, and one or two overalls, and her favorite black and silver pants, oh and these horrendously BRIGHT fuscia pants, so she should definitely have enough to wear now. Becca has sure gained a lot of weight. She’s wearing something like a 12/14. Of course, if we get her a bike, and she starts riding it back and forth from school every day, she’s going to lose a LOT of weight, and these new pants won’t fit anymore. I don’t know HOW I’d feel about that. Frustrated, I imagine. But she HAD to have new clothes. There was no getting around it. Syd got a really super cute pair of jeans… I wanted to get her these aqua pants, but we had to pare things down, so that’s what she gave up. Oh well. There was a ton of stuff to fit Syd, no problem finding HER clothes. I sure hope Shabree has enough now, because it is next to impossible to find her clothes that fit. Now that we’re going into summer though, it’ll be a little easier, because she can wear shorts. Shorts are stretchy usually, and cheap. I will have to buy them all a new swimsuit though, I think. We’re talking about buying a season pass to the local swimming pool… problem is, it’s 50 dollars a person, even Sammi is 40. Now, we can get a family "low income" discount of 100 dollars per family, but even with that, it would be 190 dollars for us to have season passes! It’s a lot of money for nothing more than the chance to swim every day. Especially since what used to be Water World is either the same, or less money, and Sammi would probably be free there.
Ugh… Becca’s at it again. She told me that since her mother has no problem with the way she dresses, we have a problem. She had SIX, count em, SIX blankets in her room, so I took 4 of them, and have washed all but one. So she took one of them back (after I left her with two mind you…) Syd was using it, so she was mad. So I just looked in there, and guess where TWO of those three blankets are? On the floor! She told her daddy (and me, I guess) to get the hell out of her room. He was so mad. I offered to get him the soap, but he said he could handle it. When she went over to her mother’s house, I told Jane and Steve that her little "hip hop" hat could just disappear, and it would be no problem, so it stayed at her mother’s house. She also told Jerry just now that she wasn’t going to be here in the morning, and Jerry asked her who was going to take her in, she said someone who wanted a daughter, and Jerry said "oh, you don’t think I put up with your crap because I don’t want a daughter?" and she accused him/us of being overprotective. Let me just say, teenagers, especially girls, are HARD. They’re contradictive, no matter what you might be saying "oh, the sky is blue." and they’ll say, "no, it’s more of an aqua." and wow… the urge to SMACK them becomes… well, nearly overwhelming. And of course, we simply don’t hit (and WHO would hit a 13 year old anyway? They might just hit back, you know? Or call CPS on you… or whatever. It’s not a good idea in any case…) So she’s crying now, Jerry yelled at her for cussing at him. I just… yea. Not fun. She won’t hardly do anything she’s asked, and we typically DO ask, and we ask nicely, Please put away the dishes, Please put the dishes into the dishwasher, Please take out the trash. But she can’t even do that when asked nicely. You always end up talking to yourself with her. I mean… I KNOW this stuff is normal, but that doesn’t make it ANY less annoying or irritating. I left and let him deal with her. Over the weekend, I found a shirt that I had given her because she borrowed it and basically ruined it, so I couldn’t wear it… I foudn this shirt on the floor, with My Chemical Romance written on it in Sharpie! I was livid, freaking PISSED OFF. In fact, I coudn’t stop talking about how pissed off I was, and Jerry got upset with me for not being able to shut up about it. I found so many towels in her room, and this AFTER she asked me why I haven’t washed towels! Prob
ably because they’re ALL in her room! I kid you not, I had a FULL load of towels after I picked up all the towels in her room. More reason to be pissed, and again, couldn’t stop talking about it. And today, when I picked her up, Renee was trying to talk to me, and Becca kept saying random shit over her, just talking to talk. I said I didn’t want to go to Goodwill, and Becca threw a mini fit, and I just told her Don’t even START with me! I waited for them for an hour and a half (it was really closer to two hours), and had originally been told 3 or 4, and here it was 5 (and since I’d last fed the baby at 1:30… by 5, I’m leaking breast milk, and I’m just afraid I’m going to end up weaning.) She’s STILL crying, and now she’s choking or something. Gees. She was MAD at Renee, because on the way up, Becca sat in the front, and on the way back, Renee had the NERVE, the NERVE to let Sydni sit in the front, and made Becca sit in the back. Becca can be such a little shit. I mean, I don’t want to be mean, but she thinks the world, if it doesn’t revolve around her, it should. Everyone should CATER to Becca, and if they don’t, you’re going to hear about it. She’s SO mean to her sisters, sometimes I can’t believe how low she’ll stoop to simply make them feel bad. Like with the blanket. Half the problem was that Syd wanted to use it. Oh, I SWEAR, if this is how it’s going to go when she goes to her mother’s… those trips are going to be fewer and farther in between. I wonder how she really was at her mom’s, too. Because she came home with a "teeny booper" magazine, I forget which one, but they’re like 16 and usually have fold out posters in them. It has a poster of Miley Cyrus in it, and of COURSE she had to tell Syd "Oh, you shouldn’t see what I got in this magazine" and then SHOWS her and tells her she can’t have it! She doesn’t even CARE for Hannah Montana OR Miley Cyrus, but again, because it’s Syd… but gees, let Syd get some money or something, and it’s "buy me this, Syd, buy me that Syd." so she expects Syd to do things for her, but she NEVER does a THING for Syd (or any of them, for that matter… MAYBE Sammi or Alex, IF she’s asked) And, she never apologizes for anything. Wrong or not, she won’t say she’s sorry. Some days, I just find it hard to like her these days. I hate to admit that. I love her as a daughter, and she’s a good kid in that she doesn’t seek out trouble, isn’t dating, outwardly shows no interest in boys (I think she just keeps that to herself.) She stays away from drugs. We do keep a pretty close eye on her, I have to say. She’s so immature in so many ways, that I don’t REALLY trust her to make good decisions for herself, but she doesn’t truly make BAD decisions on things like sex or drugs. I might just take away her Sharpies, since she can’t seem to keep from drawing on clothes and pillow cases. AGH.
Okay, I need to be done on the subject of Becca. It’s hard to be done, because she upsets me in SO many different ways. I just think, if she’s going to ruin things, she should go work for the money to ruin those things.
Okay… I’m posting now. I have ranted enough.
-hug- Just remember… this too shall pass…

Teenage girls are so tough. They’re like this crazy whirlwind storm and you never know what it’s going to be like from day to day…whether they’re going to be calm and settled one day or wild and out of control the next. I guess you just kinda wait it out, then play it out, y’know? It is hard, though, when they’re openly defiant and you just want to scream.
