I’m having a baby shower! Please visit:

Well, my subscription ran out AGAIN…but I got permission to renew it for six months from Jerry. Well, I shouldn’t say I got permission. I just checked with him. Every penny counts these days. But at a cost of 12 dollars… we can swing it for now. I did another 3 page layout tonight, and am uploading it now to show off. I can’t figure out WHY I’m suddenly so picture prolific, except I HAVE to upload the pictures for the challenge I’m doing, to qualify the layouts for the "strikes" that I want, which are based on a different challenge each day. I’m really enjoying it actually. I decided to do something "easy" tonight, which amounted to a Valentine’s Day layout. And it WAS easy, which was good, because I was under a time deadline. Now the plan is to get some kits put together so I can more easily scrap the pictures I’ve already got printed out. The trick is… to get through my swaps. MOST of the pictures I have printed are of Disney trips. I spent about 2 years doing almost nothing but Disney swaps, so I have QUITE a few of them. Problem is… I can’t find some of my Disney layouts, to see what I’ve already done. That’s SO not good. They’re around here SOMEWHERE. I just have to find them. I’ve got some CUTE Disney pages done, and I am looking forward to getting some of these Disney books caught up, since I’ve got undone books from 2005, which for me, is rather unheard of. I usually TRY to keep up with things, and I worked hard to get 2006 done, and 2007 MOSTLY caught up. I even did this Valentine’s layout from 2008, and then the Easter layout from this year as well (though I have one more Easter layout to do before I’m done with that) And I also have Becca’s birthday from this year, and I’m NOT sure I ever did Syd/Shabree’s birthday party, or even pics from their birthdays…so that’s something to do as well. But for now, I have all these pics I’ve printed out… Disney mostly, and they need to be put in books. THEN, I’ve got to evaluate what I still want to scrap from those trips, if anything (I’ve got TONS of Disney pictures…but then, I’ve got TONS of Disney stuff, and swaps to help me scrap them…assuming I can find it.)
So let me post this layout I did, and then get back to my organizing… or maybe, maybe I’ll just go to bed… dare to dream! I woke up early this morning… 8 o’clock. I could NOT sleep. So I puttered on the computer, and right when I was going to go back to bed, Jerry asked me to call the phone company and have the voice mail changed on the second line to 6 rings before it goes, because he was having a hard time getting to the phone in time (I feel the man’s pain, believe me!) So I did that (without complaint, mind you!) I actually painted my fingernails while I was on hold…. PURPLE! My absolutely favorite color. Now I’m contemplating, should I take pics and do a page on this? HA HA!!! Maybe if I had NOTHING ELSE to scrap… but I already feel so far behind. Still… it would make a good page for the "Book of Me" I am trying to do (on top of everything else. I mean, I have too many projects going right now where scrapping is concerned.)
Oh, and Shabree’s been bugging me to do her toe nails too…and when she saw my fingernails, she about had a cow… "Please, will you paint my nails?" Okay, sure. So I painted both her toes AND her fingers purple. But she messed them up, and now wants me to re-do them. I told her I would, once she finished her homework and the dishes… however, I took a three hour nap, and never did get to doing that. I don’t think I’ll do two coats. It seems to mess up more easily than one coat, even though two coats looks better.
I REALLY have to get OFF this computer, so I will get this layout in here already:
It almost doesn’t look like the same layout, but it WAS the same day, and I used the same patterned paper for the layout. The white strip you can barely see is my handwritten journaling which just talks about the girl’s presents and how Sammi was chocolate faced. I don’t LIKE my handwriting much, and it’s so much easier for me to computer journal, that for the third page, I did that instead. I had to handwrite some of the journaling for the challenge requirements. I only just BARELY did this layout in time to meet all of today’s requirements. I should look at tomorrow’s requirements and see if I want to start a page for tomorrow… that Easter layout, I started after midnight on the due date because I thought it was going to be so much work. There are a couple of challenges coming up that I just won’t participate in, because they use sketches… and I NEVER use sketches for anything. I might have used one of Linda’s sketches for me, ONCE. But I’m just NOT a sketch person. I need to find my circle punch though, and do a layout where one of the pictures is in a circle… just for fun and something different. All my pics are always rectangles, and they almost always look the same. I’m trying NOT to get/be in a rut, as is so often the case, and part of the reason I burn out. I am now up to what, 7 pages for this month? I should do another layout just to have some more pages. But then, I REALLY don’t want to burn out again, and I have the whole rest of the month to do this… I could have 60 pages done this month if I do a 2 page layout every day. And if I do my McDonalds "power scrapping session" I might even manage to do more. That would be SO cool and awesome.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the layout… the guy and gal in the last page are our friends Pat and Wanda… here, let me paste the journaling, as I still have it up on my computer:
Pat and Wanda took us all out to dinner for Valentine’s Day. We decided to go to Round Table Pizza, and this turned out to be something of a mistake because EVERYONE seemed to be going there for dinner that night, and the place was swamped, they were understaffed, and it took forever to get our pizza, which was then made wrong. But hey, no one complained about THAT, because it just meant they had to make a new pizza, and since it had been half, they left us with the pizza that had been made wrong, and we got a new medium size pizza. It ended up being just about the right amount of food, we hardly took anything home with us, even with Jerry and I having salads (and sharing them with the kids, especially Shabree. It was GOOD food, though expensive. We talked about a casino they’re trying to get built up by their property, and about other things too, but that seemed to dominate the conversation. Pat gave the kids quarters so they could go play, and they had a tv going as well. Sammi had soda, the little soda fiend that she is, she really enjoyed that. They also had toys on the floor, and she had quite a time playing with them. We had a really good time with Pat and Wanda, but then, they’re ALWAYS fun to hang out with, some of my most favorite people in the entire world.
AND…. I am out of here. It’s 1 a.m. I want to head to bed by 2 at the latest, so really need to work on this room for the next hour (yea right… I should turn off the computer so it’s that much harder to get back on it…. but it won’t happen.)
