I’m working on a swap, needing to babysit the wishblade so it doesn’t cut up the machine or the paper to pieces…mostly the machine. All these swaps I’m in require Bazzill paper, which the machine HATES cutting. It drives me a little insane, truth be told. I have to really keep an eye on the machine, and sometimes run the paper through 2 and three times, and it takes awhile for it to go through a number of titles.
Today, well, I got up around 7:30, so that was good. I have done some laundry, got a package in the mail, picked up my car… but around 11, I got really light headed, so I laid down, next thing I know, I was OUT… I did not get the best sleep last night, that’s for sure, I woke up around 4:30 a.m. and didn’t go back to sleep until 5:30. And I think I didn’t get to sleep until about midnight. So I wonder if that’s the reason for the nap, but I was just SO light headed. I haven’t been drinking any water… I hate tap, and we’re out of bottled. I need to buy some, hopefully this evening. For the sonogram on Friday, I’m supposed to drink 32 ounces of water between 7:15 and 9:15, which is a LOT of water, especially for me right now, since my bladder fills so quickly, and the pain of having to pee is intense. On our flight from L.A. to Sacramento, by the time we got to Sac, I thought I was going to burst, I had to go to the bathroom so badly. I couldn’t even wait to get off the plane, when we touched down, I used the bathroom on the plane before we got off…. it HURT. It never felt so good to pee in my life (excpet for that time when I was a teenager, and I held my bladder for about 2 hours in the car on the very last leg of the trip, and our poodle, Buffy kept walking on me… OUCH!!!!)
I had to run the paper through the wishblade again…in some places it’s cutting fine, in others it’s either not cutting enough, or cutting it to shreds. I hope I don’t have to do this 4 or 5 times like I did with the Pinocchio titles, which I was THEN told were wrong, it was supposed to read Little Wooden Head…I’m sorry, but I HATE the title of Little Wooden Head… so if anyone complains, I have to re-do theirs. Oh yay… like it took me 6 hours to do them in the first place. I ordered some new blades, hoping that’ll help, but there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with the blades I HAVE… except that they’re having issues cutting the Bazzill… but that’s more a problem of the force of the machine.
I’m still feeling kind of tired.
Sydni got herself grounded this morning… so she’s in her room…she’s SUPPOSED to be reading, but I doubt that she is. If she’s cleaning,t hen that would be good. I SHOULD be cleaning myself, but instead here I am writing in my diary. She got grounded because EVERY morninng Jerry tells her to get her shoes on and EVERY morning, she can’t find them, and barely looks for them. So this morning Jerry told her if HE found her shoes, she was going to be grounded. Well, he found her shoes in about 5 minutes. Well, one of them anyway, she had managed to find ONE. She’s been really disorganized, and it’s severely affecting her schoolwork, and I suspect they’ll hold her back this year, because she seems pretty far behind. We’ll see… when Becca got held back in the second grade, they sprung it on us at the end of school parent’s night. I do hope we can home school them, that way I’ll have much more control over it. Right now I honestly have little idea how she’s doing or where she’s at. She was supposed to be studying math facts to 20 this week, and she has no idea where the paper went… ??? So we’ve been unable to do that… and I’m sure she won’t do well when they go to test her on it, she can barely count by tens… if at all. She’s struggling with the most basic of things when it comes to math, and her reading doesn’t seem much better.
Oh man, I just looked over at the paper, and it is getting really shredded…so not good. I am going to have to do this a bunch of times. Just great. I may never sign up for title again, but it’s the only use I’m getting out of the wishblade… really I hope the new blades make a difference. This just sucks. Hm… I think the problem with it was the xyron was all lumpy… so the paper went though lumpy… I replaced the xyron cartridge (it was out) and now the next piece is cutting, or seeming to cut, much better. I might be able to get away with only 3 sheets of paper instead of 5… THAT would be good… Bazzill is EXPENSIVE at 50 cents a sheet for 12×12.
I’m also using the time to cut out paper to make shaker boxes, which I can finish up by tonight or tomorrow. The titles will take the longest. I have also been slowly treading through more than 9000 messages in my inbox, trying to get rid of them. It’s become somewhat overwhelming, truth be told.
Well, I guess I’ll post… it was a LITTLE more than a quick update… it’s gotten to be 5 o’clock already… rather late, but we just ate lunch at 3, so I suppose I’ll put dinner off til later tonight.
