Decision Time

My free month trial will be running out soon and I’ll have to decide whether to pay to stay here. I’m still keeping my entries public because otherwise there’s not much interaction. It seems like the people I was friends with in the past have moved on and don’t really use opendiary now. I appreciate the few that do and I enjoy reading more in depth about their lives and what’s going on with them. I really miss that level of knowing these friends that I’ve never met.

My boss is out of town this week at a convention so I won’t be working much until she gets back on Thursday. We have three events to set up this weekend so I’ll be working Friday and Saturday. The boys are going camping with their boy scout troop this weekend so we’ll be kid-free. I’ll work Saturday morning but I’m hoping we can go out Saturday night. And then they will have to be picked up Sunday morning, unless I can get someone to give them a ride home.

Last weekend we left the kids home alone overnight for the first time and we went to a hotel for a night. Our oldest will be eighteen in a few months and I wasn’t too nervous about leaving them; they did fine. We had a really nice time at the hotel. We really just stayed in and ordered pizza and relaxed. It was good to reconnect. My husband has been working insane hours for months now. Most weeks he works 60-70 hours but there have been weeks when he’s worked 90 hours. He also commutes an hour each way so some days he’ll work sixteen hours and drive two. He’s looking for a new job but he’s trying to cut his commute so he hasn’t come across much yet. I’m tired of being alone all of the time and I’m tired of him being so stressed. I hope something comes along soon.
