Plans

Well, I am on the half way of my holidays already. My holidays started last Saturday and I had made some plans for that at the very beginning.

First, I have to prepare a 2 mins Putonghua talk which was my assignment and I was glad that I just got it done yesterday. Secondly, I would like to put all the printed pictures into the self-adhersive photo albums nicely as they have been just sitting aside for several months waiting to be sent home. Thirdly, I would like to keep contact with some old friends which I did before but haven’t got much further response so far. Fourthly, I would like to practise playing piano which I never ever want to start yet, and some other small plans like cleaning up the flat, ironing clothes, taking revisions and having more time to spend with my family.

Now it’s the half way already and approaching to the end of the holidays… but I haven’t got all these things done in my plans. These days, I just stay at home to take rest, waking up late, being home all day and getting tiny things done to kill the time like doing housework, putting pictures into albums and writing emails (these are the things I won’t do in my work days). Well, that is holiday. If we do what we usually do when we are at work, then it is not holiday right? Holiday should be a time for us to be free, free of doing everything you want to do and free of behaving yourself in the way you like. Then after all, we have to go back to the reality, oh my God.

Holiday is a time for us to take a break and recharge energy for a better start again. Then, after this holiday, I will be looking forward to another holiday in Chinese New Year. Oh man, is it a good way for our life attitude?

Yes we always make grand plans but in the end is very good to just relax and enjoy the life we have. If those small things are relaxing and make you happy then enjoy life goes to fast and holidays go the fastest… Happy New Year…

Yes, I like the idea of recharging and beginning a new year. At the library where I work we have some patrons from China and we will have a mini-Chinese New Year Festival. This will be our 3rd one.

I used half of my holiday time to do my assignments, I thought that I was quite poor! Cindy
