School party
Today is the school Christmas celebration day. The kids did not need to wear school uniforms today, they could wear own clothes for the so-called self dressing fund raising day.
Christmas celebration started with the Christmas assembly in the hall. We had a Protestant senior teacher giving Christmas talks and singing Christmas carols with the children. After that, we had our own party in the classrooms. The day before, I had asked the kids to bring different food and today we’ve got all kinds of food such as chicken wings, sausages, egg balls, sushi, sandwiches and a lot of biscuits, sweets, chips and chocolate (all their favourites). We were all very happy eating food and enjoying the party.
At the end of the party, the children exchanged their $10 gifts with their friends. When I asked them to unwrap the gifts together, I saw all the presents, most of them were stationery, notebooks, files, dolls and some xmas celebration things. The presents were pretty good.
Then it was my turn to give Christmas presents (sponsored by school) to the kids. I prepared two presents for each of them, one was small and one was big. The small one was either a colour-in-one-pen or a file, and the big one was either a set of stationery or a box of chess. The kids were happy to see their presents, especially the chess. Lastly we had a little anpanman drawing competition (which I taught them the day before on a web) before the end of the Christmas party.
I think this year’s xmas party was good. The food was good and the children behaved well today. During recess, I went to another class, the primary three class to take pictures with them. One of the girl Kelly gave me a little present which was a small pooh pooh cabinet. Wow, it was good. Another boy Andrew gave me a cake wrapped by a rolled handkerchief. It looked like a cake but it was a handkerchief actually. It was really nice too. I hope all the children enjoyed the party as much as I did. 🙂
