Disneyland
Yesterday was our school holiday, it was also a school day for the Disneyland trip. Yes, my school had organized a study trip for our children in the HK Disneyland and their parents were welcomed to come too, and so as the teachers of course.
I was one of the teachers in the trip. I was very excited because it was the first time I came to Disneyland. However, when I arrived, I was a bit disappointed about the size of the Disneyland which I thought would be the smallest Disneyland all over the world, even smaller than the Ocean Park. You will sure not get lost in Disneyland. The games were very close to each other and you could find them very easily.
Since it was Friday, there were not many people. Me and my colleague played a lot of games and watched a number of shows. Lastly we took pictures with the big flurry Disney dolls Pooh Pooh and Minnie (with people inside) and watched a lighting show using a special glasses before we left. We enjoyed the trip so much and I will sure come again in the near future.
After visiting Disneyland, I went to have a gathering with my IEd friends at night. We knew each other since IEd but we won’t meet very often, only one to two times a year which was very rare. However when we sat down, we had lots of things to talk about and didn’t act like "long time no see" friends. Originally it was a five people gathering but Cindy was sick, so she didn’t come. I hope she felt better now.
We talked for more than two hours, mainly about our work, our school and things like that. I told my friends that I am studying Putonghua now but they thought it was not necessary for me to learn for the sake of catching jobs. They said it was meaningless if I don’t want to teach Chinese (using Putonghua). Yes, I am not going to teach Chinese, I only want to learn one more thing to build up a better resume.
Maybe learning Putonghua won’t help me a lot in my job hunting in the future as my friends said. However I never regret to learn it. I am pleased to learn one more language. It will become my knowledge and will benefit for the rest of my life, isn’t it? Just hope I won’t learn it so badly, at least pass all the exams and get my certificates finally and that will be good enough. Am I greedy haha?
