October Weddings

So I didn’t cry! But I teared up a whole lot… all in all it was a great memorable fun happy gorgeous magical weekend. The first night we went to Hard Rock Cafe…. it was loud and not that interesting but me and mom were able to be around and get to know her Chicago family. Was Interesting. I think we got in at 11 and I didn’t fall asleep till 1 because I stayed on the phone with Michael. Apparently two ambien isn’t enough to knock me out right away. At least on my best friend’s wedding weekend.
Sunday though was by far the best… me and mom were up at 7 hitting up the continental breakfast in the lobby. Waffles and coffee and orange juice. It was fantastic. We got ready and all that and Brittany had to be at the place like an hour early to get ready and then everyone else was suppose to show up. Me and mom rode with Kevin (her hubby now) to the place… totally away from all civilization on a mountain with tiny tiny roads. It was a bed and breakfast that the couple turned into a wedding type thing as well… the little house was all wood and cabin-y and just something that belongs in the mountains… it was a pretty day too…
I ended up being able to be in the room with her and her sister and cousins while she got ready. Then finally the little ceremony went down which was about 15 minutes and it was sweet and had nothing to do with Jesus. Just about Brittany and Kevin, which is what you’re suppose to be focused on yeah? Bride and Groom. Not preaching about God like it’s a Sunday morning church reception. Anyway, so it was awesome. Then there was at least an hour and half of picture taking. So so so many pictures. Afterwards we went to what Brittany called a "jazz restaurant" which was also awesome. It was dark and had lots of candles and a jazz type band playing that we sat right beside and this amazing chick singer who had an amazing freaking voice that I was in awe by. I got to sit in between mom and Kevin like the night before, and once Kevin had a couple of glasses of wine he totally loosed up and made me and Brittany laugh, so much I thought I was going to pee myself. The kind of laughing where you can’t breathe. And our food was so amazing. It was a restaurant that Gordon Ramsay would totally own. They ordered me a couple of pink lemonade and vodkas which was amazing and I think it’s gonna be my new favorite thing to mix vodka with. I’m done with orange juice and cranberry. We were out til midnight or after… me and mom hadn’t planned on staying another night but it was so late we decided it’d be better and safer if we did. Kevin paid for our room that night, which was so so sweet of him.
Me and mom yet again were up at 7 the next morning and hit up the waffles again. I’m a breakfast person. She’s a coffee person. It works.
We all left about the same time… Kevin and Britt had marriage license things to take care of and me and mom headed back to oh so amazing Alabama…. I’m sure I said amazing and awesome too much with writing all of this, but that’s what it was. Amazing and awesome.
