back to working out yayy!

Last week I was sick the whole week so I never really had energy to get up early and to go walk or run or go to the gym or anything but today I was determined to get a good workout in. I knew if I started the week off right I’d stick to it. Amazingly I lost 4 lbs last week with no exercise so hopefully I can keep it up. Well i went to the gym this morning after I dropped the kids off at school and got on the elliptical for about 40 minutes. i don’t know if I was working hard enough though because I didn’t really feel any burn. I was tripping off of these two girls that were there though.l get on the elliptical and these two women are on the ellipticals in front of me. I began browsing a magazine while working out and they are talking. Well after about 10 minutes they get off of their machines and move to another elliptical machine then another 10 minutes after that they get off of those machines and go looking for another elliptical machine. I don’t know what that was all about but anyhoo lol.

 I get done with my workout and take a shower then get dressed and jump in the car and headup to doctors urgent care for my physical and drug test for the new job. afterwards I have to come back into town at my old Job for my exit interview and explanation of the severance package. That actually turned out really good. Turns out the company is going to pay a regular salary for 14 days before the severance even kicks in. Severance is based on amount of years worked with the company. You get 1.5 weeks of severance for each year worked. I was employeed there for 4 years so I get 6 weeks of severance from the company which means that I’ll still be getting checks as if I was still working up until maybe mid-March. Well turns our since the company is paying salary for 14 days before the severance even starts I may be able to stretch it until April. I’m happy about that! This will really give me a chance to get all of my credit mishaps cleaned up. Doctor bills and collections and all that Good stuff I can start paying that off. I’m going to roll my 401K over with the new company and then the benefits package that I have from the old company I’m going to unenroll as soon as I get benefits started with the new company. Shoot that’s an extra 200.00 on my checks that I’ll get to see yippee!

after that I have a basket of clothes in the car that need washing so I go handle that. Afterwards I had an appointment to be fitted for my contacts. Yall don’t understand how excited I am to be getting my contacts prescrip filled! My current supply of contacts ran out in the second week of december and my eyeglasses completely broke on me a week ago to the point that they couldn’t be fixed. so everything has been quite blurry. I got my eye exam and found out that my left eye is 3 times worse than it was back in march so my eye exam states I need a stronger lens for my contacts. While being fitted I tell the doc please let me get a trial pair until my prescription comes in and he give me a pair. EUREKA!!!! i can see again. The world is suddenly clear again! And Good lord i really need to close some pores on my face LOL! Oh well that’ll come in time.

Oh yeah and I just wanted to update on the Job. I got news about the offer and it’s not as much as I thought it would be but it is definitely an increase in income for me so I’m not complaining. There was not room to negotiate but the project manager did assure me that after a few months i will go up for review and then I will recieve a raise based on that. So i know to be on my P’s and Q’s and prove myself that I can get a good raise. the position will actually start on Monday Feburary 5, 2007 because they want to even out their payscales so I’ll come in during the beginning of the pay period and my boss is going to fly in to train with me from belgium. So in essence I get a week to be lazy and relax then start brushing up on my knowledge base and skill.
