Zama

Well, this is more testosterone than I’ve interacted with in quite a while. Just me and nine men. Wait, ten. Lee just came. The good news is this is the last time I’ll be in the CAEDM lab until at least September. (I’ll probably be in the engineering building plenty. But at least we can mix it up a bit and see four different walls.)

We’ve been enjoying my birthday present plenty. My sweetheart installed a new porch swing for me. The porch is well-shaded, so we swing together in the evenings. Until the mosquitoes eat us.

Our view has recently improved. A few days ago they tore down the seedy motel across the street. Now the city is building an arts park. Or something.

We bought a truck. Describing Scott’s elation about this event is entirely beyond my literary skill. He wants to go camping with it this weekend. It was $450 special, but it runs, so what more can you ask for? A cab and longbed? It has that, too. I’ve named it Zama, derrived from being a Mazda. We’ll see if it sticks.
