Run Forrest Run
I have just run 4.2km!!! Me! The girl who never even used to run for the bus! Loving map my run at the moment cos I can see what I’m achieving, see how my distance is improving. I’m not bothered about speed and time, it would be nice to get up to 5k and be able to run it comfortably, then see what I want to do after that. It’s a bit of a love hate thing, while I’m doing it I feel like I could die, but also I’m proud of myself, then when I’ve finished I’m glad I’ve done it. Sometimes I quite enjoy it. Other times it seems like hard work, but you know what, I do it anyway.
Being on nights hampered me a bit, it’s a whole other level of tiredness and I can barely drag myself down the stairs after a night shift, but if I was feeling half human I went, and didn’t beat myself up if I didn’t go. Now I’m on days I’m trying to go every other day again, like when I first started up, because you definitely feel the improvement happening quickly and it’s heartening.
