Can you see me???
Quote of the day:
"”Now is the accepted time, not tomorrow, not some more convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done and not some future day or future year. It is today that we fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes the harvest and the playtime.”"

I think I just logged in simply to see if I still could lol. I miss you guys! I promise I do. I was just very unhappy with my life before.I hated the class I was taking. Ha.ted.it. Oh dear God I just wanted it to be over. Then I woke up and said you know what Reina? I have good news! You can make it over! So I withdrew from it. I think it was the fact that I’ve had that same subject twice before, so I wasn’t learning anything new and didn’t really want to be bothered with it. Also, the wedding planning was getting in the way. I have to take two classes in spring, but I’m diying a lot of stuff for the wedding. I told myself I wanted to get things done before my classes started in the spring. Every time I was suppose to study, I defaulted to wedding planning! What a mess! So yeah, glad that’s over with. Next!
Sooooooooo, I don’t keep up with my planning bio, although I promise I will update it this weekend. I do spend a lot of time on weddingbycolor, weddingbee, and stylemepretty. Also, there is a website called brownandbridal.com. I recommend all "brown" brides (it’s absolutely fine if you’ve been married for 10 years!) to join. I am almost done buying reception decorations, and halfway there with the church decor. However, umm….I don’t have a church. .See, Jonathans family church is huge. I’m thinking of using the chapel at Howard IF THEY EVER LEARN TO CALL SOMEBODY BACK!!! We’ll see. If push comes to shove we’ll be a Jonathans families church.
Aside from the wedding planning, Jonathan and I have definitely had our ups and downs. Mainly he needs to learn to get ahold of his temper. He is the type of person to sit on what he thinks and feels until he gets pissed, and then he wants to go off. Uh uh. That’s not for the kid. It’s painful, and it’s not right. So yeah, we’re working on that. Don’t ever let anyone tell you different – working on the relationship does NOT stop simply because you are getting married. I have a feeling that’s why a lot of relationships fail – people think that it’s going to be a fairy tale after they get married, but no. It’s STILL a relationship. Never get that twisted. Just keep lifting us up in prayer.
I am on that last journey to lose 50lbs. If I don’t do it now don’t think I’m ever gong to do it. Wish me luck.
Ok, so, it’s my goal to write in here twice a week. Whew. Let’s see if I can keep it going!
God Speed,
Future Mrs. Johnson
I have a feeling that’s why a lot of relationships fail – people think that it’s going to be a fairy tale after they get married, but no. It’s STILL a relationship. – You hit the nail on the head. People think that marriage will fix everything wrong in their relationship and that’s not the case. For me… Marriage changed my name and the level of my commitment but that’s it. My husband still games too much, still leaves his sock laying around and still has all the same irks that irked me before. That won’t change. Good for you seeing that early. Best of luck!!
