Pac-Man Fever

 This weekend I was able to finish this:

I am really pleased with it and now thinking about what kind of frame I want for it.

I found the pattern on a Pinterest pin.  The pin was pretty much only the photo of the pattern/grid sheet so it was a bit hard to read but obviously I did it.

In other news…today I found out that I was supposed to start dressing Vivien in her school uniform today.  That was frustrating but since I work fairly close to the uniform shop it was fixed quickly at lunch.  School clothes shopping is suddenly way easier.

What wasn’t easier though was finding a pair of plain black (or brown) shoes.  I went to Dillard’s and Macy’s at lunch too but found that most plain black shoes that aren’t totally dress shoes don’t come in sizes smaller than an infant/toddler 8.  I checked Amazon and Zappos and found a few styles but since she was supposed to be in uniform today I thought I should make an effort to get them now.  I was lucky though and discovered that the Stride Rite I thought had closed last month actually moved so I was able to find, literally judging by the way the conversations were going with the people after me the last pair of simple black Mary Jane’s in a toddler size 6 in the immediate area.

Vivien pretty much demanded a pair of sequined pink and green top siders too.  I gave in.  Between having an exhausting day today at work and the BOGO sale I just didn’t see the need to fight.

I then gave her ice cream for dinner* and am working on a glass of wine.  Nutella may follow.  We’ll see.

*we had the ice cream at the mall.  Then came home and had a proper dinner. Although I fixed her plate with the expectation that she wouldn’t eat a bite. She ate her peas and a baby carrot.  Works for me.
