Interesting turn of events
The other day, Laurie and I got into another shouting match about her drug abuse. She had just run out of her bottle of hydrocodone the day before, so she called the nurse at our doctor’s office and described apparently exaggerated symptoms to her, so the nurse told her to go to the ER. Naturally, this prompted me to think it was just an effort to get more narcotics. It probably WAS, in fact. And what followed may have been set into motion to justify it, but it was scary, nonetheless.
We got over our argument, and we were JUUUUST about to go to the ER….I figured since the nurse told her to go, if I didn’t take her, I could be charged with negligence….when she got up and started walking toward the back door. Despite her not having been able to walk very far just before that, I didn’t pay any attention to her walking until I saw her stumble, out of the corner of my eye. She panicked, grabbed the walker, but she didn’t put the brakes on, so it rolled (freakin’ wheels!!!!) and she quickened into a short sprint, then tumbled to the ground. It scared the shit out of both of us.
NOW, I can’t help but wonder if it was planned, even though she hurt herself a bit more than she expected.
Goddamn. Nevermind this fucking entry. It’s 3:40 in the goddamned morning, and she’s already started telling me do this, do that every five seconds.
