Revelation

I had a realization strike me in the last few days.  It started because  I was feeling guilty for not checking in on Nanny over the weekend.  Well, the revelation is this : It is NOT MY DUTY to check on her!  I do it as a kindness, and she is taking me for granted by expecting it out of me.  I don’t do it with a willing heart, really, but it’s a kindness, nevertheless.

So….if I don’t check on her, so what?  She has neighbors who will run her places, or so she says.  Let them do it!  I don’t LIKE her, anyway!  

That’s about it for now.  Mikey’s got a movie playing on his computer, so I have to cut this entry short.

She finally came over and asked me nicely if I’d run to the store for her.  I said yes and handed her a bowl of noodles with broccoli I had been making for her.  It went very smoothly, and I am pleased with the way it went.
