Crisis averted

We had a mini crisis today….close to a full-on crisis.  Nanny decided to go over and talk to Kathy and Jean while they were moving their stuff out of the house we’re going to move into.  It wound up with my grandmother yelling at Kathy, and Jean called my sister.  My sister promptly called me and asked me to go over to Nanny’s house and calm her down and keep her at home.  So I went over there, but most of the trouble had blown over by the time I got there.  Then, Nanny started in on my wife again…..drives me bat-shit when she does that.  She swears that my wife ran up phone bills and had them put in Nanny’s name.  It’s impossible, the way she describes is, for it to happen as she says, but that doesn’t stop her.  My grandmother is not grounded in reality anymore.

We got our car inspected today, so now it is totally legal, thank God!  I was so nervous driving it with the temporary tag on it, even though everyone thought I was over-reacting.

Right now, I’m on Rikki’s computer again, so I’m going to cut this entry short.  We’re still doing well here.  For that, I am grateful.  Tomorrow, when the food stamps come in, we’re going shopping at Walmart….or so I think, anyway.  That’s the only form of rent we’re able to pay here.

All’s well that ends well, as Shakespeare once said!

Love to all,

Jack
