Is better hearing in my near future?  I made a big mistake, methinks.  I tried to get the stupid infection to drain out of my ear…..slightly miscalculated where it would drain.  Now the entire left side of my face is swollen.  So my advice to those in a similar situation in the future….DON’T TAKE MATTERS INTO YOUR OWN HANDS….even though I probably still will myself.  Stubborn as a mule!

I feel really strange.  It’s also rather HOT in this house, as My Mikey has been rather sensitive to lately.  My chest hurts, but it does that when I have a serious infection going on.  I wouldn’t necessarily have thought of this as that serious until my face became swollen.  That smacks of enough seriousness for me.

We went to the doctor today….this time for me.  The doctor prescribed Zantac 150 (a six-month supply of refills on the way!!!!!!), so my tummy isn’t upset, which is a blessed relief.  I have new ear drops, which, ironically, DO seem to be helping, if I’d keep my dumbass notions away from my face. 

My Mikey is listening to his birthday present (I believe in giving people presents on my birthday, too!)….Rob Thomas’s new album.  I actually like it, which kinda surprises me.  I still don’t care for the way he pronounces certain words, but the music is rather cool!

Today has been a good day.  Thank God.

Count your blessings, my mother always said…..so I am trying to do that more often.
