You Can Go Your Own Way…

Is it so wrong that I love to bake? Today, I made cheesecake thumbprints from Martha Stewart’s Baking Handbook. I had one after they were finished baking and it was tasty and burned my tongue a little bit, but apparently they’re going to be really awesome tomorrow after they set in the fridge overnight.

Those are not mine, but they look pretty close. Some of mine cracked around the edges, but the cheesecake filling is tangy and sweet from the sour cream and cream cheese. I cannot WAIT to try them tomorrow.

Tomorrow, I’m looking to make these:

That picture is of a White Chocolate Brownie, from Moxie’s. It’s what I’m going for, pretty much, except lighter in colour. I’ve found a really great recipe from Tartlette on Blogspot. She’s writing a book, so I’m going to trust her instincts.

Interestingly enough, Erik and I were invited to a barbeque his cousin Becky and Mark (a super-duper couple) are hosting on Saturday afternoon, and were asked to bring something. So, ta-da! A double batch is definitely on my mind. Even if I can’t manage to squeeze them in tomorrow after work before I go over to Erik’s, I can do it on Saturday morning and they should be cool by the time we need to leave. Guess we’ll see how it all works out…
