Dailies 92

I was struggling far too much with what to write in here then I came accross the dailies…hoping this will get the writing juices flowing again…and give me something to work on while I’m not working.

Dailies for December 1

At the beginning of each month, it is sometimes good to take time to look at what the month holds in store for you. Do you have a lot of meetings? Parties? Appointments? Are there quite a few birthdays being celebrated? Take time to organize your calendar and get your month in order or maybe you want to fill up your calendar a little more.

Take time to write about or creatively post about your month and reflect on your expectations for the month.

Even though it is only the 1st of the month I can feel the stress of the holidays creeping up on me. I ran to the post office earlier today to send off my niece’s birthday card (2 days late!) and just being out for those few minutes really evoked the "December Rush" in me. Hopefully at the end of the month I’ll look back and think…that wasn’t so bad at all…..

December 1…Cleaning today…mom arrives on Thursday
December 2…Coffee with Candace at noon – get to meet her new baby Ryan and get some baby holding practice in!
December 3…Ultrasound number FIVE at 10:15am (I think…must confirm time) and mom arrives at 4pm
December 4…Shopping with mom… looking for little christmas decorations, candles, cutsie things that she can buy me 🙂
December 5…Putting up the tree & decorating our place with mom. Rob will probably duck out of this and go watch hockey at his friends place
December 6-10…Mom is still here…baby shopping, shopping for my cousins Christmas presents, Zoo lights, take in a couple of movies – "Brothers" for sure and something else, dinner out one night, lunch out one day, Christmas baking, kitchen cupboard clean out
December 10…Mom goes back to Kamloops, flight leaves at 10am. I just might sleep all day on the 10th!!!
December 11…Movie with Danielle "The Blindside"
December 12-13…hope to get together with some peeps for pre-Christmas visiting – maybe Jen & Shawn or Beth and Geoff?? Oh!! I forgot we are planning to go to Jayme’s for the weekend – we’ll see if this works out – haven’t been there since Easter!
December 14-24…no plans – maybe a Dr’s appointment in Banff (still need to book after cancelling November 30). My mom flys to Thunder Bay on the 18th for Christmas at my Aunt’s. Mail Christmas presents to Medicine Hat during this time (IF I decide to buy for my brother’s family)
December 24…Christmas Eve – probably attend Mass if I can convince Rob to come with me
December 25…Christmas Day – our first Christmas alone together and our last…next year baby will be here! Also my first Christmas without my mom.
December 26…Boxing Day – hope to plan lunch with Rob’s parents – would be nice if they could meet us here instead of driving to thier place…we’ll see, still needs to be planned.
December 27-31…no plans…lots of sleeping and relaxing (can’t wait!)
December 31…NYE – no plans yet, but will be our last NYE alone…hope we find something special and CHEAP to do!!!

I think that’s about it. I’m sure there will be other little things that come up, but now that it’s all written out, it doesn’t seem too, too bad. I just feel like I have a million things to do before this Thursday when my mom gets here! Speaking of…there are dushes to be done right now and more laundry to get in the machine.

I hope to participate in DePhoMo too – I would really like to learn how to use my camera before baby arrives. The trick to participating in DePhoMo is…find my camera cord!!!
