Birthday Ideas

1st I want to point out that last Friday I could feel a tooth in Bruce’s mouth, but couldn’t see it. Monday, the 1st is when we could finally see the tooth! Bye bye gummy smile.

I don’t know why, I keep thinking about Bruce’s birthday. I really don’t know if we’re going to be having a party every year. But this is his 1st. I figure we’ll have it at our house, it’ll be hot out (July 21st), we have a blowup kiddie pool that we’ll have set up. I make a nice tierred seasame street  cake. I’ll make a small gluten free cake as my grandpa’s cake (for my niece, uncle, cousin to eat).

Roger had mentioned he thought we’d do it at the cabin. I’d LOVE to do it there, but I just don’t know if that’d work very well. I’d do his birthday Saturday if we did that (his bday falls on a Sunday). BUT, would Roger’s family go up there, and where would they stay? We have a 5th wheel, but if they all went, there isn’t enough room. My grandpa, uncle would bring their camper and stay there. Or just say "you can tent?" There is a hotel in town. Also, my one uncle and my aunt probably wouldn’t go up there (they don’t like my dad, which is their brother). I think my aunt is still planning on come home from Arizona for this. My grandpa’s bday is the 25th. We wouldn’t all be able to go out on the pontoon. We can’t swim from our dock (we’re in the beaver house area). We have the little lake. I’m not sure if that’s the weekend that my aunt has all her family up. The dock is my aunt/uncle’s. If they’re there, would they want all of use down there? If it’s her weekend, then of course not. It would be nice to be down there since you walk into the water, we have a raft too. BUT, my dad won’t go down there (problems between him and my uncle).

Summer in MN is so short. It does makes me sad when there’s so much going on, when it’s so short. We could do his party over at the beach here too. Then FIL asked what we’re doing the weekend after the 4th of July, he turns 60 on the 1st. I think he wants to do something. Of course I have that weekend off and figured we’d be at the cabin.

There’s talk with my family (dad’s side) of going to Wyoming this year. We haven’t gone in awhile due to lack of people. I’d love to go, but that’d mean I probably wouldn’t go to the cabin at all in August. Then guess what? Summer is over! I’m sure we’ll hit the beach here often but still. I wished I didn’t work weekends. The only way I’d go to Wyoming is if Roger goes. Which is bad timing since he’s usually busy then (August). I would like to stay a week at the cabin, was thinking what if I could over the 4th. Who knows, Summer hasn’t started and like usually it seems to be booked up and over.
