Weekend update
Saturday we went with MIL to Best Buy to get new phones. We’re on a family plan and we needed her since the plan is under her info. She was getting a new phone too. I knew we’d be getting new phones and originally I was thinking of not going cause I remember last time took a long time, now we have Bruce. Turns out MIL was babysitting the 2 rugrats. I was really surprised we were going since she had them. I didn’t want to stay back and babysit them. They’re so hyper, I don’t know if I can handle them to be honest.
Guess how many diapers I had to change while at Best Buy? 3. I did them all in the car. Then finally I said to Roger, finish me up, I gotta go and feed him. We were there for 3 hours! I didn’t really care what phone I got, I just wanted an internet phone. I did have it picked out, so Roger just took care of the rest for me. The rugrats? I felt bad for them, 3 hours in a store is too long for them. Right away though, they’re grabbing phones, running off. I’d tell them to return the phones, they’re not to play with. They say "I know they don’t work, yes we can". I’d say "No you can’t, they’re not like your mom’s old phones". ::rolls eyes:: Then Codie (3), would grab Bruce’s hand and pull down. I told her "Do not pull him". She said "I just touched him". And I wonder why I feel like I’m paranoid with him by them 2.
We went back to IL’s, now FIL was home and SIL was there (rugrats’ mom) and other SIL and her son (12). We grilled. There were fireworks for the Harvest Days, we can see them from their house. Since it was a long day, Bruce never really napped since noon. So he was fussy. When we got home, I changed/fed him, layed him in his crib, probably around 9:30. He smiled and fell asleep instantly.
Sunday was VisionWalk day. We had to leave by 8am. I woke up at 6:30, figured since Bruce was still sleeping, I’d jump in the shower instead of trying to sleep for another half hour. It was a cold morning. It was a good turnout. I think we had 25 walkers. Bruce was kinda fussy the whole time. I had him dressed warm and he had a winter hat on, bundled in a warm blanket. He didn’t want to ride in the stroller, think he wanted the body heat when held. So the stroller got pushed the 3 mile walk with no baby. That’s ok.
Then we went back to my brother’s where the Vikings were on, I made chili and my mom made a bunch of food. Again like Saturday, Bruce was kinda fussy. We tried to get him to nap on Avery’s bed, He did for about a half hour.
Sunday is bowling night, Roger and I are alternating weeks. He was bowling. I wanted to go up there since us 3 still had our shirts on and the couple on our team did too (they walked). Chris wanted to get a picture. Bruce was fussy and I wasn’t sure if I was going to go up there, but did. We decided after last night that we’re probably not really going to bring him up there anymore. Everyone wants to hold him. Last night I had to say he’s too tired/fussy. I got him to nap a little. Again when we got home, when I got him in bed, he smiled again and fell asleep.
I’m wondering if we would’ve had the pack n play if he would’ve been better since he has slept in that a few times.
Today he’s a happy baby for now. I gave him a bath since I didn’t yesterday. I’m not sure if later would be a good idea or not since he has his 2 month appointment later and will get 3 shots. Then he’ll be unhappy. Maybe it won’t be as bad as I think. I’m just dreading the screams from the shots. But who knows?
For the shots, make sure to give him Tylenol an hour beforehand. And they’ll tell you to bicycle his legs…it helps with the blood flow and soreness.
