on the mend

I finally feel better today!   It has been 10 whole days since I have been sick.    I haven’t complained to the hubby that I don’t feel well, but he takes one look at me and says you don’t feel good do you?      But I woke up this morning feeling almost normal.  And of course today is the day I was going to the Dr.      It was for my annual exam, already shceduled.   I arrived at his office, and was met at the door by the nurse handing me a mask.    All patients are asked to sanitize their hands and wear a mask while in the office.   The flu has hit a major outbreak around here.   There are schools that have closed until next week.   Just crazy!!!

Yesterday I did manage to clean out the shed.   Moved all of the deck furniture in there for the winter.  Emptied all of my flower pots and put them away for the season. That was about all the energy I had. Nothing left to do but dig up some dahlias, and let them dry out.   I still need to bring in some firewood.  Get it stored in the garage.  Figure out how much to order to get us thru the winter.   Then I guess I am ready for the dreadful winter.

Last night we ended up having our seafood feast we had planned for Saturday night.   The hubby called Saturday afternoon to tell me he didn’t feel good.  I thought oh know here we go again.   He had the chills Saturday night, and spent most of the evening sleeping in his recliner.   Sunday he woke up feeling better, but still tired.  Neither one of us got dresssed on Sunday.  We spent most of the day dozing.   I put a pair of sweatpants on to meet the pizza delivery guy.

Thankfully he felt fine on Monday, and I am on the road to recovery!

Today is cloudy and gloomy.   Actually a perfect day for what I had planned, washing windows.   I have got all of the ones on the back side of the house done.  Just need to do the insides.   I did the front of the house a few weeks back.  Now if i can just keep those puppy nose prints off of them.

The realtor called this morning to tell me he had found another house we might be interested in.  It sits on just over 4 acres has most of the things we had on our want list.   We have arranged to look at it this Sunday.   I am so afraid we will find something we love ,and then can’t get this place sold.

The dogs are driving me nuts.  The land across the street from us must have over 100 geese on it.   The dogs just stand at the fence and bark and bark at them.  Glad they are on the pond over there, and not in our backyard.   They make such a mess!

I guess I will go back and finish up the windows.  Take a trip to the library later on.  Figure out what else I have neglected while not feeling well.

the masks everywhere are crazy. when i went for my mamogram this morning, i entered the facility thru urgent care and the whole room is in masks. it’s just creepy! don’t catch up everything you missed at once, or you will be sick again. take it easy on you.

good to hear your feeling better. Hope everything else is working out well. I absolutely hate the winters, which is usually why I flee to the south in mid november, but looks like I’m going to have to spend the rest of the dreadful winter in new york. Good luck!

Hi Darling Liz, Sorry you haven’t been well! You’d been away for ages, and I’ve had my head down, studying – Keep missing you. As you can see – I’m putting My first diary back on line, since MDD has ‘sunk without trace.’ Glad you’re feeling better. See ya next week – AFTER the Last exam!!! Emmi
