update.

All’s well.

I convinced Keith to come to the bank so we could get some general financial advice.  God bless him, he gets worked up and excited about things and it already 3 years ahead of himself in his mind.  The bank lady calmed me by saying out loud the things I’d been feeling were probably wiser than our current hurry it all along plan.

We’re holding off on the house goal for now.  We’ll give it a year, get 100% out of debt (besides the car, RRSP, and mortgage) and then, once my current mortgage agreement is up, we will again look to the best way to put down money on a house and go from there.  So, hopefully we’re in a new home in Spring 2015.

I feel so much more at ease with this plan.  I want to move forward, but to do that we’ve got to look backward and make up the losses we’ve been foolish enough to incur.  I’m glad we’re doing this the right way now, when it counts most.  Solid foundation and all that.

So December 2013 is the goal to be debt-free.  Then we can move ahead, better prepared and one step ahead of where we are.

And hopefully we’ll have a wee one when we do move.  I wants me a baby, y’all.  We’re still not ready to try, but this summer we’ll see what happens.  Wild.

Being debt free would be pretty awesome. We’re working on it. Seems that Tonya’s last stint in the hospital really kind of put us behind a bit though…

Hecks yeah, sounds like a fantastic plan. Very grown up too. 🙂 I can’t wait to own a house, that is so exciting that you’re working towards that! ryn: Thank you, thank you!! xo
