steve.

Strange happenings.

Last night a song popped into my head.  It was a tune I wrote when I was around ten years old for my uncle’s 40th birthday.  To this day I don’t know why I wrote it – just started happening and so I wrote it down.  It was a funny little diddy.

Uncle Steve is great!
Uncle Steve is grand!
He managed to be a P.Eng.
And I’d like to shake his hand!

He’s got three kids
Leslie, Paul and Matt
And a pretty wife
Imagine that!

Uncle Steve is great!
Uncle Steve is grand!
He managed to be a P.Eng.
And I’d like to shake his hand!

He likes to golf,
Play guitar and be 40
He’s getting old
Oh Lordie Lordie

Uncle Steve is great!
Uncle Steve is grand!
He managed to be a P.Eng.
And I’d like to shake his hand!

He started to run
Was very inspired
We hope his new hobby
Won’t make him too tired!

Uncle Steve is great!
Uncle Steve is grand!
He managed to be a P.Eng.
And I’d like to shake his hand!

Because he’s a nice guy
I thought I’d give poem writing a try
I think he’s ok
Hope he has a nice day!

Uncle Steve is great!
Uncle Steve is grand!
He managed to be a P.Eng.
And I’d like to shake his hand!

I mean really.  Why I wasn’t labelled a child prodigy is a mystery.

Anyway, it popped into my head last night and when I woke up it was still there.  I was singing it all morning to myself.

Right before lunch UNCLE STEVE sends me a message telling me he’d like to chat about contracting out some work to me for the next few weeks.  He has started a company and he needs some insight on Marketing and the like.

WHAT!
