12 days until my birthday.  11 days of 24 left.

What will 25 bring?

I had a good weekend.  Second job sort of blew on Saturday night, but what are you gonna do?  I don’t make the schedule.  Could have used 2 more people working all night, but you make do.  It’s a wedding.  So long as you keep smiling, the party never knows it looks like the fridge and a linen store exploded all over the kitchen.  It’s all good.

"I escaped with minimal overtime and no tears!  Weddings make me think of you.  Love!  Night!"
"You’re the best.  I love you."

I miss him.  Gotta figure out when we can hang out this week.  Haven’t seen him since Wednesday.  We’re so excellent at being busy.  My night off was Friday, he worked his second job.  His night off was Saturday.  I worked the wedding.  Sigh.  Once day we’ll have evenings free to spend with each other.  Maybe. One.  Day.

Coffee with the girls last night.  Everyone talking about the new house they bought, the new job their man wants, the classes they’re taking, the road trip they just came back from.  We’re growing up, and it’s insane.  I know this happens to everyone, but it’s surreal to be in the middle of it myself.  These girls and I were sitting around a table at Starbucks discussing condos and flood plains and careers and insurance claims.  It feels like we were only just sitting around a table in the cafeteria discussing who said what to whom and who was going to prom with whomever and what was she going to wear?!

Life evolves, but it’s never much different.

Yeah it seems surreal. We are growing up. I was at a party the other night for a friend leaving for Afghanistan. We were all taking about marriage babies and all kinds of things we use to consider boring. lol It a crazy wonderful life.
