Obama ADMITS ObamaCare SUCKS, SKIPS TOWN…

EVERYONE ELSE FOUND DEVASTATED and

LOSING the Insurance they SO ADORED.

Health Reform: The latest panicky “fix” from the White House grants the millions whose policies were canceled a “hardship” exemption from ObamaCare. If the law’s such a hardship, why must the rest of us suffer with it?

After getting caught in his blatant “keep your plan” lie, President Obama first tried to dismiss the problem, saying the cancellations affected only a tiny percentage of Americans.

When that didn’t work, he said he’d waive enforcement of part of the law so these people could keep their plans, if their state regulators allowed it. It was a phony fix designed only to spare Obama some political pain.

So now — just four days before the enrollment deadline — the administration says those who had their policies canceled can buy cheaper “catastrophic” plans that, under the law, are supposed to be available only to people 30 or younger.

Plus, the administration says that anyone who had their plan canceled can now claim a “hardship exemption” and avoid the mandate penalty if he doesn’t buy any insurance at all next year.

But as soon as the administration unveiled this fix, the holes started appearing. The “catastrophic” plans they’re talking about, for example, aren’t all that cheap, since they too must comply with ObamaCare’s myriad mandates.

As the Manhattan Institute’s Avik Roy notes, “In some parts of the country, the catastrophic plans are actually more expensive than the Bronze plans.” Plus, tax subsidies aren’t available to those who pick a catastrophic plan, making them more expensive still for anyone eligible for those subsidies.

Meanwhile, by granting millions an exemption to the law, Obama has suddenly created two classes of people — those who aren’t required to buy insurance because they had their previous plans canceled, and everyone else who must still buy insurance or pay a fine.

And what about the other groups harmed by Obama-Care? Why aren’t they getting exemptions too?

What about all those part-timers who used to get coverage at work until ObamaCare? Or those whose jobs got eliminated? Or what about those who had minimed plans at work, until ObamaCare made them illegal? How about those who simply couldn’t get into the exchange at all? They’re suffering just as much as the millions who’ve had their plans canceled.

This is to say nothing of the increased insurance market distortions created by all these ad hoc rules — which will further discourage the young and healthy from buying ObamaCare plans and force prices still higher for those stuck in the exchanges.

In his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention last year, Obama promised “bold, persistent experimentation” in his second term. Now we know what he meant.

But the fact is that every time Obama issues new waivers, delays or last-minute changes, he sews massive amounts of confusion and distrust about the law.

Given what’s transpired, it would be perfectly reasonable for someone to wonder why she should buy insurance at all, since Obama might very well change the rules again tomorrow.

The only real solution for the hopeless mess that ObamaCare has become is to chuck the whole law and start over. Few would mourn its passing.

Dividing people into classes is one of Obama’s special interests …. uniting them requires leadership and communication he does not accommodate. He likes to engineer things, in the same manner our government will kill a species of bird to make life easier for another species of bird. It kind of sucks for us when the people currently infecting the executive branch seem to look at American citizens as animal life that require economic discrimination, political segregation, and selective social pampering. If lying gets this done, it doesn’t matter to them. National Democrat Socialists, like the current lot curdling our American government, hold little regard for an honest relationship with the people they seek to subjugate.

Every time I turn on the news, I read/hear about one more part of this disastrous healthcare policy that is unraveling. It seems to me that the ACA will come to be thought of as one the worst policy gaffes of the Obama Administration.
