Brink of tomorrow..

Standing on the brink of tomorrow I am reminded of many things.. of thoughts and notions that once came accross my mind.. I am also reminded of my pride..  When I take stock of the past and of the present to a degree I could get proud of my achievements and stuff…

But I have been reminded that at the end of the day my good deeds and my nobel ideals all are filthy rags before my Lord..

It is times like this that I could sink into distress and become the folorn figure I once was.. but I press on beyond dispair to that place where I remember that I am loved.. I am not alone.. I am not without hope or salvation… there is a silver lining to every cloud and there is a door which has been opened.. wide and never closing..

I remember that I have been bound with cords of love and tenderness to a future that is glorious.. With care and compassion a seed of love has been placed within my breast.. a little piece of heaven.. when properly tended will blossum forth into a fountain of life and peace..

Despite the conflict that rages and the wind that blows I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if my faith holds.. if I can endure to the end.. if the flag does not fall.. and I do not falter then I will lay hold on the prise.. the goal.. the crown of life..

The reality is tho that.. I can’t keep it.. I can’t stand.. I can’t make it.. I CAN’T…

But Jesus prayed that the Father would keep me… phew.. so the onus is on Him. 🙂

Joh 17:1 Jesus spoke these things and lifted up His eyes to Heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You,

Joh 17:2 as You gave to Him authority over all flesh, so that to all which You gave to Him, He may give to them everlasting life.

Joh 17:3 And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

Joh 17:4 I have glorified You on the earth. I finished the work that You gave Me to do.

Joh 17:5 And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the existence of the world.

Joh 17:6 I revealed Your name to the men whom You gave to Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me; and they have kept Your Word.

Joh 17:7 Now they have known that all things, whatever You gave to Me, are from You.

Joh 17:8 For the Words which You gave to Me, I have given to them. And they received and truly knew that I came out from beside You, and they believed that You sent Me.

Joh 17:9 I pray concerning them; I do not pray concerning the world, but concerning the ones whom You gave to Me, because they are Yours.

Joh 17:10 And all My things are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.

Joh 17:11 And no longer am I in the world, yet these are in the world; and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You gave to Me, that they may be one as We are.

Joh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

Joh 17:13 And now I come to You, and I speak these things in the world, that they may have My joy being fulfilled in them.

Joh 17:14 I have given them Your Word, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:15 I do not pray that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil.

Joh 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:17 Sanctify them in Your Truth; Your Word is Truth.

Joh 17:18 As You have sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world,

Joh 17:19 and I sanctify Myself for them, that they also may be sanctified in Truth.

Joh 17:20 And I do not pray concerning these only, but also concerning those who will believe in Me through their word;

Joh 17:21 that all may be one, as You are in Me, Father, and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Joh 17:22 And I have given them the glory which You have given Me, that they may be one, as We are One:

Joh 17:23 I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected in one; and that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them, even as You loved Me.

Joh 17:24 Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, that where I am, they may be with Me also, that they may behold My glory which You gave Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

Joh 17:25 Righteous Father, indeed the world did not know You, but I knew You; and these have known that You sent Me.

Joh 17:26 And I made known to them Your name, and will make it known, that the love with which You loved Me

may be in them, and I in them.

Wot a prayer.. and that was prayed for me.. 🙂  Now I feel like I maybe can stand.. for another day at least.. hehe
