Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

They are currently working in a small town about 10 minutes away from me. Some of my friends have volunteered to help build the house and the pictures are amazing. The house is being built for one of our Soldiers who was paralyzed in the Ft. Hood attack last November 5th. Seeing that small community pull together (as well as many of the Ft. Hood soldiers) to create a home for him and his family is… well, there are no words. They are supposed to be done this Sunday. If I wasn’t working, I’d head over there.
Maybe it’s this time of year that gets to me but the sense of community brings tears to my eyes and warms my heart. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to do something to give back as well.
I don’t normally watch the show, but I can’t wait until this one airs.
