today is all about being positive.

i had my interview with the VP of Marketing and the VP of HR yesterday. i brought in my portfolio and left it behind to subject it to the scruitiny of the "powers that be" at the new company.

that was tough for me. my work, even though its work, is so personal. normally, i would share my portfolio and take it with me when i was done with the interview, giving people only a few minutes to scruitinize my career.

but about 19 people need to look at it apparently. so i left it behind, hoping that the worst case scenario wouldn’t present itself, which is that they would decide they don’t want to move forward with me as a candidate and then i would be forced to go there and pick up my portfolio.

the walk of shame.

anywho, the night before my interview, i had a dream that i got the job and was offered $95,000 a year. i am crossing my fingers that dream comes true.

ha!

anyway, i just got a call from the headhunter saying they want me to move on to the final phase of the interview process! w00t!

i will have an interview with the CEO of the company, and from there they will decide if they want me, or don’t.

so, here is the good news, bad news game:

good news: the CEO and i are only 7 years apart in age
good news: the CEO and i graduated from the same college with the same degree
good news: they wouldn’t want me to meet with the CEO if they weren’t "virtually curtain" i would get the position. the last thing he needs to do is sit and interview with 76 candidates.
good news: the position has been open for almost 2 years. over 700 people have applied. i have made it further than most of them
bad news: the might adore me and decide not to hire me because i am too much of a liability with my legal history
