Merry Christmas all
Tis Christmas morn and I just finished a quiet night at work. My puppies each have a gift and it’s time for a nap. Hopefully everyone can have a blessed day and enjoy the love and fellowship with family and friends. We have a slight dusting of new snow to add to the already white covering on the ground. On the past several years, most Christmas mornings have been very clear skies and extremely cold. On those mornings past, I have looked at the bright star in the sky and wondered if that is the same star the shepards and the wise men saw so many years ago. This morning with the falling snow, it seems different.
But as always, I take time to reflect on the wonderous gift the world received and the life everlasting that came from our Father. So I take the moment and enjoy the love of the Lord and all his blessings that have been bestowed upon us. I simply say, Merry Christmas and Happy birthday to our Savior Jesus Christ.
As soon as I had posted this, it came to mind that I failed to give thanks for our military personel serving near and abroad. I have a friend who is currently deployed and away from his family, and knowing someone who is personally connected to me brings it home and make it real to me. As I spoke to his wife the other night, I realized how hard it must be to be away from all that is personal in ones life. That being said, lets keep all of the families in our thoughts and prayers because we know not what their real sacrifices are until we walk in their shoes. So Lord I as for a special blessing for each and every one of our mititary members and families. God bless them and keep them strong.
Merry Christmas dear Soph…. we have a lot to be thankful for…. 🙂
