dissent~
I’m a big believer in dissent. We wouldn’t have founded this great land of freedom, if we didn’t have the right to diagree with the way the way that the British were conducting the affairs of this country. These is always a price to be payed, though, for dissent. Cause dissent upsets those who are in control of whatever institution it may be. And if there is an establish ‘order’ or, say, a government who has an agenda with no intention of detouring from thier chosen course: dissent will be critizied, attacked. We see the many attacks, today within our government or from former government officials; officials like Bill Clinton who are afraid there many be terrorists arising from among the dissenters.
We know that when a government fears the people: they attack, try to discredit, poke fun at, people who dissent from their stated policies.
I would like to post something in the next two paragraphs that Rush Limbaugh recently said. Although I’m not a big fan of his, anymore, cause of the mindless support of the Republicans over the years. But, he can still offer very provacative and enlightening visions, like what he says in the next 2 paragrahps:
"We are told we must reject, despite tons of evidence, the connection between Islamist ideology and terrorism. So we can’t call Islamist fundamentalists "terrorists." We can’t even use the word. (editorial note: if case you haven’t heard, our president doesn’t want us using that above phrase, anymore.) But we can have ex-presidents and current presidents running around trying to associate conservatives with nonexistent terrorism at peaceful tea parties. Somebody needs to explain this to me……
"Why is it that we can sit there and accuse nonviolent tea party people of committing terrorist acts? I mean that’s what Bill Clinton’s doing. He’s predicting that tea party people are going to blow up a federal building again, and in the process…. I’m going to state right now: If there is a future incident such as Oklahoma City, the blame is squarely Clinton’s on the shoulders of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, who I’m sure is coordinating Clinton’s appearance on this."
Sooooo…..Of course, there are different possibilities that may happen. If there are violent acts in the future, and the finger is pointed at those who are part of Tea Party movement: it could very well be someone within the Democratic party that initiated the act(s) of violence. Or it could be, as Rush implies: it could be some nut on the ‘Left’ who commits a violent act….and blame it on someone in The Tea Party Movement. There is no good reason to think that if violence happens that it will be someone from within the Tea Party movement.
We saw what happened on the day when the so-called health care reform bill passed: the black caucus simply invented a story that someone in the calm crowd of dissenters: spit on one of the members of the caucus; and it was even claimed by a member of the caucus: that someone hollered racial slurs. Yet, no one in the crowd saw even one being spat upon; nor did anyone hear any racial slurs being hurled at someone. It was all lies, trying to discredit dissenters. THAT is what happens in dictatorial regimes.
Listen to the following, what the director of Homeland Security said last year…and the analysis of her statement:
30 March 2010: About a year ago
Department of Homeland Security
Secretary Janet Napolitano defined the current administration’s view of what constituted the greatest threat to the United States. Napolitano flat out said that “right wing extremism” included groups which oppose abortion and immigration
. She also named American military veterans and returning combat veterans as potential terrorists.
In so doing Napolitano gave the current administration’s official stamp of approval to the 9-page political witch hunt assessment her Office of Intelligence and Analysis had issued a day or so earlier. Overwhelmingly that report identified politically conservative Christians as constituting the primary domestic terrorist threat facing the United States of America.
This determination was made after eight years of the Global War on Terrorism’s combat operations on foreign soil and counter-insurgency operations here at home against Islamic militants was down-graded to “overseas contingency” operations against “man-caused disasters.”
Soooooooooooooo….the administration views roughly half of the country as threats! Because the last poll that I seen of American that favored abortions: are less than 50%! That means over 50% of the people who now consider themselves FOR life: are therefore a threat to our country. And I assume that we must be a terrorist threat to the country, for most people that are FOR life, tend to be conservative. But even if one supports LIFE, and isn’t a conservative, if we are to believe the president: they are also potential terrorists! So, we are a terrorist threat: like the returning combat veterans. Who would have ever dreamed that an adminstration would see the people that they are called to represent: as a threat!!! Simply ludicrous! And so demeaning! This administration has NO respect for the people! The adminstration will do whatever it takes to ‘get the job done,’ as Nancy Pelosi said during the Healthcare bill!
Oh! Someone ought to tell Napolitano: us who support life: we also support immigration! Our country’s foundation is built in numerous instances: on immigrants! Us who support life: love people of all walks, nationalities, creeds, opinions, religions.
But despite the president’s opinion: we are also a Christian nation, as I stated in my previous political entry. Unfortunately, we have too many people in power who are willing to allow the idea that this country’s foundation is based on Judeo-Christian concepts right out of the Bible: be challenged in court. The following link is a judge that claims that our National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional!
Crabb, appointed to the court in 1979 by President Carter, determined the statute violates the First Amendment’s establishment clause, which says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
A National Day of Prayer: now constitutes religion! What next? Wait and see.

I hear you Bri. We can’t use the word terrorist amongst the islamists. But our returning combat veterans are concidered terrorist. Trying to take this all in. What is this world coming too. I just can’t fatham what this country is in for down the line.

Do you think that this is the type of “hope and change” Obama talked about during his presidential campaign? I shudder to think of what else they have up their sleeves! Our government is spending like a runaway freight train with no one at the wheeL!! Someone, somehow, has got to slow this erratic behavior down, or we could be in for some real serious trouble!!!

i don’t know, this is all a sign of the times?

RYN: Well, as far as my neighbor doing his “good deed”.. I think he was doing it more as a hint that the yard needed to be done than to be terribly helpful. He didnÂ’t do a significant amount, only a very small strip by the street. Where he parks his car. Lol. He has offered to help me in the past, for a fee. But yeah, IÂ’ll take whatever anyone does regardless of how little or the motivation behind it all. The video: there’s nothing to it! Simply watch mine again, at the end it offers you an option to make your own. Click on that. It’ll take you to where you choose a pic off your computer. That’s about it. I’m tempted to take one of the pics I have of oldest son’s dog and use that. Wouldn’t that be funny? hahaha Our Hero!

Yep, and then they’d better cancel the Muslim day of prayer too because the National Day of prayer doesn’t name just one religion.

It saddens me to know what’s going on in your country. I went to the site and was surprised to see the titles of some articles:- Teachers forced to ‘hide in closets’ to pray Principal cleared of criminal count over meal blessing Woman accused of contempt for dinner blessing Graduating students defy ACLU You’ve got to fight for your right – to pray Bow your head, break the law! :: I didn’t know that it’s that bad over there in your country. Let’s all pray for God’s intervention. Amen.

“Brave of you walking the plank to get the stalk or two of the paddy: to grow rice paddies?” The plank was quite steady so it was ok. The paddy stalks were for my amusement…too young to plant. You’re giving me an idea. Maybe I should go back there and get the ripe ones and start a little paddy garden in my yard! 🙂

I guess I didn’t really realize they had repealed the decision to ban the National Day of Prayer.

ryn: Thanks. I hope they win the appeal. It was one of the dumbest decision out there and there have been some pretty dumb ones.

Yes, wrinkles cos itÂ’s a padded seat. Thanks for the tip, but the plastic nut has no slot. No slots anywhere on anything. So, its back to the bare fingers while standing on my head.
