Joseph and Jesus going camping~

Now that school was out for a couple of months, Jesus craved time to spend with his step-father, Joseph.  Jesus sensed that Joseph was close to going home to heaven. Recently, on two occassions, when Jesus came home late at night after communing with his Father in heaven, when going by Joseph’s bedroom and not hearing his rhythmic breathing, Jesus layed hands on him and his heart came back to live.

Joseph had been slowing down for some time. His heart had just grown tired. He had battled most of his life to provide for his famly as best that he could. And actually, because he had a son who deserves to have the entire world at his feet: he worked even harder than his unsual vigorous work ethic demanded.

At 57 years old, he had greatly exceeded the average life-span for his generation. So, Jesus considered himself bless to had known him, for as long as he did.
The first thing in the morning Jesus asked his father if he wanted to go camping in the wilderness. His father said that that was a spendid idea. And seeing that he was taking a break from his work, he said that they could camp out for a week, while Mary held down the fort, here.

Monday moring, they were up at the crack of dawn. And true to her word: Mary had prepared enough home cook meals for them, for the week.  Joseph was still amazed by Mary, after 15 years.  With his arms around her waist, he asked, "What did you do, woman, stayed up slaving all night?"

With stars in her eyes, she said, "Ah, you know that I’ll do anything for my man."

"Yes, indeed.  Every day arrives with blessings, anew.  If it wasn’t for you and your divine son, my heart would have stopped long ago.  Your loves lubricates my heart, while Jesus starts it anews when it breaks down."

"Ah, Joseph.  My sweet man.  I so love you."

"As I love you, Mary, my sweet love of life."

Jesus watched with a glowing heart, as the two eternal honeymooners gazed at each other, while beholding their world with their arms. And as time stopped, they lived in a world of love.

At last, all the food, water, utensils and neccessary items for the week were loaded onto their donkey.  They travelled for a few hours, with Joseph riding the donkey when he needed the rest.  Jesus lead them to a clearing that was surrounded by water, and massive walls that towered towards heaven, with a singing waterfall constantly adoring the surroundings.  And cast among the mystery were fruit trees, herb trees, and flowers of all varieties that stretched as far as the eye could see. And in the center of all this beauty were two trees that stood out…and Joseph wondered about that… "Son, this is paradise."

Jesus smiled, saying, "Yes, dad. It is."

As Joseph looked around, he was puzzled, as if his eyes were suddenly opened from sleeping.  "Son, how did we get here?  We’re surrounded by water on three sides; and a massive cliff on the other side."

"Well, dad: while you were having a nap on your donkey, I transported us here, where we can’t be disturbed all week."

Since Joseph was a deeply religious person, he sensed that he was abiding among something miraculous.  "Ah, son, I feel young again; full of vim and vigor. I feel that we are standing on holy ground; surrounded by angels, are we not?"

Another surprise for Jesus. "Yes, dad, we are."

Joseph meditated and felt the father’s presence. Suddenly he really knew where they were.  "Son, this is indeed paradise, where you and your father planted a garden that was meant to spread over the entire earth, right?"

"Yes, dad. It was."  Jesus could see that his father in heaven was greatly blessing Joseph with much wisdom. This week would be such a magical affair….
