Mary’s last day of class~

Classes for the next three days: were a blur to Mary.  All that she did was daydreamed of Jesus, all class long.  And when she was called on by the rabbi for an answer, she would say, "Hey, let’s hear what Jesus says about this."  ‘Hey,’ she said to herself, ‘What’s more important than knowing what the Son of God has to say?"  She couldn’t believe that her last day of class had arrived..and gone, today.  And the rabbi said as the class was ending,
 
"I’ll be seeing you tomorrow, Mary, for your finals.  And remember, Jesus won’t be there."
 
But Mary thought, ‘Oh but he will be there.  He will always be with me, in my heart.’
 
As Mary & Jesus were walking home after class, Mary said to Jesus,
 
"Hey, maybe I should skip the finals, tomorrow: so that I can be in your class next year."
 
"Jesus smiled. "And delay your teaching position?"
 
"Do you think that they will really let a woman teach men, Jesus?"
 
"Miracles do happen.  I’ll tell my father to pray especially hard for you."
 
"Your the comedian today, Jesus, huh?"
 
"Yeah. I can feel how your heart needs to be lifted up."
 
"Yeah, your right. It must be that time of month, huh?"
 
"I don’t think so, Mary."
 
"Oh yeah. I forgot: I can’t get anything by you, huh?"
 
"Well, the father still doesn’t let me know everything."
 
"Yeah, I discovered that truth, when I detected the panic in your eyes, when I was talking to you the other day: about reflecting on our times together."
 
"Yes.  That was one of those times when the father knew that it would mean so much more to me: when I first learned the truth from you; when you said that you would always be there for me! You can’t imagine what that means to me!"
 
"Ummmmm. I’m glad that I’m able to serve God..to be the cause of his unspeakable joy!"
 
"Ah, that you are."
 
"So, I guess that I’m a bit down, right now: because I’m just thinking of the future……I’m guess that I’m just a silly woman. The man that I love will always be with me and yet…"  She wore a faraway look.
 
"I understand, Mary. Cause I have that same thought, except it’s the woman that I love." Jesus smiled and her world brightened.
 
Mary said, "OK. Now that we got that silliness out of the way, how ’bout if I share what some of the problems might be on my finals, tomorrow……."
