Jesus talking ’bout meeting John the Baptist~
After breakfast, Jesus said to her mom, "When school ends next week, I’m gonna go and pay my cousin John a visit."
"Great. He’ll be thrilled to see you. You haven’t seen each other since our last family reunion, a few years ago."
"Yes. And I undersand that my father has been giving him visions ’bout his future ministry. He graduated early from school He had been told by his father, Zachariah, from very young, that he would be a prophet. Zachariah even prophesied at Johns’s birth,
‘And you, little one, shall be called a prophet of the Most High; for you shall go on before the face of the Lord to make ready His ways,
To bring and give the knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness and remission of their sins.
Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit.
To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct and guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace.’
"So, John separated himself from this world and chose to live in the wilderness: where my father cares for his needs."
"Wow, Jesus. I didn’t realized that he was living such a harsh life."
"Yes. My father has been setting him apart: for many years, now. And John has just learned what his mission will be: when the fullness of time arrives; and that will be heralding the announcement of my coming. And he’ll be paving my way by preaching the message of repentence, allowing open souls to receive the baptism that will prepare one to meet the salvation of the Lord."
"What a surprise, Jesus! John will announce your kingdom of God."
"Yes. As my father says, ‘there is none born that is greater than John.’ John will continue to offer himself to my father, for many years, being totally focus on the things of my father. He will eat up the words of my father; drink in His spirit ; and sleep with sweet dreams showing him the way to my father."
"Ah, the goodness of God. And who would have ever have thought such grace would abundantly flow in my most humble family?"
Jesus smiled at the innocence of his mom.
"Oh, Jesus. Since John’s place is quite a journey from here, I think that it would be good for you to have some company for the trip."
"Yes, mom. That’s a great idea. I’m sure that Mary would love to travel and keep me company."
"What a fountain of wonder you continue to be, my son. You always know what’s in my heart, huh?"
"Not quite, always. But, when I see that twinkle in your eyes, that farway look, accompany by that sweet smile: I know that it has to do with love, with Mary."
"Well, Jesus, a mom knows what mkes her child happy. And my maternal instincts seeks to have your life filled with one that lights up your heart. I know, I know what you have told me about your mission and all, but can a mom ever stop being a mom and all that that entails?"
"She better not! I love her too much just the way that she is."
"Ah, can I say that: I love you, more!"
"You can, mom. And as your son that has been created with a human nature: maybe you can love me more than I can dream." Jesus smiled. "But as your son that is the creator of love: I claim the right to loving you, more!"
As Mary hugged her divine son, she stored up another divine memory in her heart…..

Random noter here. It’s nice to see others still have faith. I’ve been lacking in all areas of faith and feel like God has forgotten about me. HAGD

…the creator of love… and, yes, only the creator of love could share its beauty beyond comprehension. If I could only get a bit of that love, I would have enough to go around. And, whose son-mom relationship could ever come close to the one that Jesus and his mother had/has? đŸ™‚

RYN: Hi and nice to meet you and Thank You for visiting my diary. In Ontario, as a condition of joining confederation, Roman Catholics have the right to direct their school taxes to the “separate” school system…most Roman Catholics do. Recently confirmed by the Canadian Supreme Court after other religious minorities challenged this “right” as unequal to their own attempts to start a school system. Because of the influx of non Christian religions into Ontario in recent years…the separate school has become a sort of refugee haven for all Christian religious who wish to celebrate occasions such as Easter and Christmas. There are a few private Catholic schools available for those so inclined. E.g. smaller classes, regular prayer, generally these are sponsored by a religious order within the Church

Jesus has an infinite, divine will that he shares with his Father. And he has a finite, human will that, while being an authentic human will, is perfectly in sync with and submissive to the divine will.
